- Flyer6146877 contributionsJust love this place, we walk hear at least once a week with our dog, we only do the lower walks round the reservoirs and we go early midweek when it is quiet. It can get very busy but being retired we can choose when we go. On still days the scenes are just beautiful, the are is well maintained and clean. You can be out all day, picnic area and nice seating around the walk to tak in excellent view points.Written May 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Avux99Cheshire, UK466 contributionsGreat views from the War memorial, bit uphill to get there from the Car Park but it’s definitely worth it, panoramic views over to the Pennines & Peak District, Manchester City Centre, Fiddler’s Ferry power station in Widnes (whilst it still stands!) Great playground for the kids too ;)Written October 8, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Merv CSt. Albans, UK15 contributionsMy husband and I along with our grandsons visited the farm on Sunday 27th March .
After 3 hours we all left thoroughly enjoying ourselves . The petting shed was a big hit along with the large rabbits on leads .
The Wonderful Mr Mustachio had us all in stiches ! Where else can you see a horse with a real moustache !
We had a difficult job getting our grandson off the caterpillar ride as he loved it . This was really good value and unique.
There are plenty of benches for picnics along with 2 playgrounds, tea / ice cream shop and a good hand washing station .
We definitely be returning , great value at £6 a go .Written March 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Andrew MManchester, UK18 contributionsWent to see Jungle book yesterday April 23rd 2022, Absolutely fantastic performance. the Children around the whole theatre were totally engaged with the performance, and so were the adults. The venue is compact and i guess the furthest away anyone is from the stage is no more than a few hundred feet, giving overall great views from where you may be sitting, It's only downfall is the price of the Alcohol, This time i didn't partake, because last time a bottle of wine cost in the region of £20, which effectively means many people on returning if they fancy an alcoholic drink, they will either have one before the show, or skip out at the interval to a local pub, as yesterday, there was approx a 30 min interval, giving people plenty of time to exit have a drink elsewhere and return. Having worked in the restaurant and bar industry for over 30 years, it never ceases to amaze me, that if businesses offered better competitive prices, more people would return on a far more regular basis.Written April 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Cathie-LancashireLancashire105 contributionsBig thank you to the lovely guys at Weaver and Wilde. The takeaway afternoon tea was a great success. We had a marvellous time. Yum yum yum. Thanks for the help to the car also!Written July 23, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Natasha K7 contributionsOn holiday with the family (including two teens: 16 & 11) and it is wet Sunday afternoon. None of us are into racing or models but thought we would go and see. We had a lovely time and lots of giggles. You get around 7 minutes on each track and the tracks are all different. Some are large and fast and others have tricky tight corners. You can have your own lane or be sharing a track and knocking each other off or holding them back. Different cars drive differently. Luckily we all won at something (Lap speed or a certain track). We were there for 1 3/4 hrs.
Also it felt covid safe. The staff wore masks. There were hand sanitizer in use. It has a lovely atmosphere. Next time we are in the area we plan to go back.Written October 24, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - mark tBury, UK196 contributionsWhen on a visit this Sunday. Very clean and the gardens and plants were nice. The glasshouse and observatory were being done up and will be lovely when finished. A boating lake with cafe was very busy and I noticed a lot of statues of local people in this park. Definitely worth a visit.Written March 21, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- McGiddyMossley, UK40 contributionsThis is a lovely walk, joined it in Uppermill and walked to Delph. Only downside is there were multiple dog owners who let their dogs off the lead but are unable to control them! Other than this, it’s a perfect walk!Written August 5, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- cazwebbManchester, UK41 contributionsMaps depict the source of the Irk as arising in Royton. As these small tributaries join the Irk, it gains momentum before flowing into the Irwell the big river of Manchester via a culvert outside the centre of Manchester.Written August 25, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Valerie JonesBristol, UK24 contributionsOur fifth time in Saddleworth but our first at the Museum and we really enjoyed ourselves. Lots of interesting information about the local area, over two floors with well-designed recreations of old local cottage interiors. Nice gift shop too. Only gave jt 4 stars instead of 5 because the lady on reception was a bit grumpy and wouldn’t let a member of the public use the toilets without paying. Apart from that it was great, well done to whoever lays out the museumWritten March 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- mark tBury, UK196 contributionsCalled to Spindles shopping centre on Wednesday. Not been in a long time. Lots of shops shut due to covid restrictions, and I noticed a few empty shop units. Unfortunately a sign of the times. Will definitely call again when things are back to normal.l.p.Written March 27, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- VirginthompsonsManchester, UK41 contributionsThe Civic Hall put on some great shows really. It is quite a small venue but has a gallery and a bar and caters for many different types of shows. Abbamania was one such show. A tribute band apparently from a West End Show (not sure of the facts really). Neverthe less they put on a great performance. Would reccoment but its obviously not in the same league as the Albert HallWritten November 6, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
