I'd planned to be here two years before the solar eclipse happened, even though I'd never been to Erie before, and, know what, it WAS the best place to be for the eclipse.

The peninsula is miles long and has several parking areas and great views on the bay side and the Lake Erie side. The lanes and bicycle/hiking trails are in great shape and very clean.

When we experienced the eclipse we enjoyed the whole range of experiences: the wind rose, the water got choppy, the birds began to gather to roost in the trees and the light was unreal - then totality. Wow! This was the best place for the eclipse.

We spent 3 days in Erie and Presque Isle is just the coolest thing. If I were here in the summer I'd be here AND in neighboring Waldimeer Amusement Park AND the Tom Ridge Environmental Center AND at Sara's hot dog stand - all right by the entrance.

Cool park, cool city, excellent time!

We did the Maui Wowie package and it was definitely worth the price! My only, true complaint is with the hotel. Our bathroom had very clearly not been cleaned. I ended up using diaper wipes to clean the toilet myself, which had dirty marks on it. And we actually used the shower in my sister's room, because ours had filthy water/grime marks up the sides, a hair, and other dirt/dust on the edges. It was less than ideal. But my sister’s room had a perfectly clean shower! So that worked in our favor. Otherwise, it was such a great time.

We had a great day up until we went to do rides. Even then it was really fun until an employee who I think was off the clock allowed a family member to line jump and when I said something she got very rude and said he's family he's allowed to. I said that doesn't matter line-jumping is line-jumping and shouldn't be allowed for anyone to do as she walks up the tilt-a-whirl exit and gets on the ride. Other than that incident. My whole family had a blast and might be back just for the water park

At first glance, it seems like a museum you would take a quick walk through, but it is not. We were taken on a tour of the ship docked in the bay. It was amazing, our guide was amazing and we learned so much about the war. Great experience! Larry did a fantastic job!

A nice place to stop by and learn some things about the Erie wildlife. Would be great for kids, very interactive and colorful.

I enjoyed this zoo. I spent a couple hours walking through the exhibits. The zoo has a good selection of animals that are well cared for. The grounds were nice with plenty of benches and lots of trees and streams around.

The exhibits are setup with a more natural style with trees and rocks and things for them to hide in. Most of the cats were asleep at 1 pm when I was there but I got to see a lot of animals awake too. The “boardwalks” were new looking and a couple areas were under construction so they seem to be improving as they go.

The zoo is small but was perfect for me. I did not go into the children’s area or ride the train though which looked cool. There is a small gift shop but you were not forced to walk through to exit like most places which I liked. I do recommend the zoo if you are in the area.

The flowers and animal life were abound as Asbury Woods during our last visit in late August. So beautiful here. This is the kind of place I enjoy visiting to relax and enjoy the ambiance of nature.

We’re visiting from New Zealand, road tripping US20 from Oregon to Massachusetts, and had a couple of nights in Erie. On one of those nights we went to UPMC Park to see the Seawolves play the Bowie Baysox. Unfortunately, the Seawolves lost but it was still a great evening. The park is a tremendous venue with a lovely family atmosphere. Plenty of food and beverage selection. The guy at the ticket office was super friendly and helpful. Not knowing anything about the venue (and very little about baseball in general) we just asked for two good tickets. He recommended upper level section 205 behind home base and it was perfect - excellent view of the field and all the goings on around the ground.

The tower has an elevator to the top so great for people with wheelchairs and strollers. The view was really nice and we even got to see the scallywags pirate adventure from above. We were lucky and got to go on a free day. I wouldnt see why it would be worth 6.00 to ride up and walk in a circle and come back down.

Our third trip to the theater and another perfect experience. The theater was built in 1929 and retained the charm of the era. The facility is very clean and in excellent condition.

Good Experience, well presented information on the area, development, and history. Spread over several buildings, it features nice displays, with good descriptions and context. The Watson-Curtze Mansion interesting look at the life of the time.

The Frank Lloyd Wright rooms were a bonus for our family as we were traveling to Buffalo to tour a couple of Wright designed homes.

Easy facility to find, good parking behind the museum buildings.

Cool piece of Great Lakes history - a must do if visiting Erie. We cycled out from Erie and there is a great bike path all the way. The volunteers on duty are very friendly and full of information about the lighthouse and its history. The view from the top is fabulous - 78 quite steep steps involved.
