- Intlgal007Portland, OR103 contributionsWe had an amazing experience tasting wines here. Jordan was our host and she made us feel special and the experience memorable. Although she only revelry started she was very knowledgeable about the wines and the area. Loved all the wines and the property is amazing too . Be sure to make a reservation as I don’t think they accept walk-ins for tastings. We’ll be coming back in the summer when they offer ATV outings around the vineyards!Written October 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - dwg51357Cedar Rapids, IA2,316 contributionsDuring a stop at a Delta Sky Club on our way to Oregon for a week of wine tasting, a gentleman seated near us recommended Fairsing as one of his favorite Willamette Valley wineries, so we decided to give it a try. We're glad we did. The drive up to this hilltop winery is beautiful and the views from the tasting room are spectacular. The wines were very good, as well. We really enjoyed our server (sorry, can't recall his name) who spent lots of time with us, explaining the wines, sharing stories about the area - and even recommending other wineries for us to visit.Written November 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - dennis yBelmont, CA390 contributionsMade reservations for a wine tasting a day ahead. Arrived to a very warm welcome, with a table set up for our group (as requested). Very gorgeous setting with a very attentive and knowledgeable staff. With a new group of advisers and consultants, the label has changed (again). To me, it's sort of inconsistent and straying away from the 'traditional/recognizable' identifications. By that, I mean ' how would I know this is not "'knock off" label while shopping outside of the winery?
The wines are very nice, but a little pricier than other wineries of similar sizes. Member prices are discounted and the tasting fees are offset, which makes it better.Written March 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is located in the middle of the Yamhill countryside but so worth the trip. The hosts were glad to see us and encouraged us to walk around their beautiful gardens and ponds. Such a beautiful place to enjoy delicious wines! We highly recommend our hostess, Lauren, who was so engaging and personable. This visit was one of the high points of our trip!Written July 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AzucenaFairview, OR98 contributionsLoved this winery the staff and wine are outstanding. Gran Moraine has a great Chardonnay but our favorite is their Pinot Noirs, we love deep Pinots.
Since covid you must make reservations but they are always quick to seat you and tastings are all set out when you are seated. Staff is informative and friendly.
Looking forward to my next visit in November.Written October 10, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This is a must visit while out looking for Pinot Noir in the wine country around Yamhill. Be sure to ask about when they are going to fire up their pizza oven...it's a great time to visit.Written September 4, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's obvious that his passion for wine growing and wine making is an amazing accomplishment, considering his small staff and the size of his vineyards. Definitely make a stop here to visit Chris and taste his wines. Excellent!Written August 11, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ron HSalem, OR11 contributionsthe drive up to the flying M just is not worth the trip, the food was so so, not much to see once you are there, maybe if you flew in, but we didn't see any wild life i have more deer in my back yard, except the horses in the stallsWritten September 6, 2012This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - bethebarnesLexington, KY151 contributionsWe (3 adults, 1 teen) spent two nights at Kookoolan Farm while exploring the Willamette Valley. We loved staying there and were sad to leave.
Very comfortable and well-appointed, with a great deck and lots of space. My niece and I really enjoyed learning about the workings of the farm and getting to pick fresh fruits and veggies for our meals.
Would definitely stay here again!Written July 7, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Laura ASo. Cal92 contributionsDaughter set us up with a wine tasting trip while we were visiting. Ho Hum said me. About an hour drive from Portland. Met with Crystal K (co-owner? and winemaker). Very kind and very knowledgable lady. I don't remember how many different wines she poured for us but I do remember my favorites! Old Vine Reserve Dijon 777 and Pommard. We enjoyed going in to the cellar with her and sampling directly from the barrels then going back up for more samples with grapes and cheese. What a delightful experience, I'd enjoy going back!Written March 11, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - S BPortland, OR106 contributionsFriend told us they had a great time here so we purchased 4 lessons and glad we did. Large clean indoor arena, great selection of saddles to choose from and very well cared for horses and barn animals. They offer lessons and trail rides including to local wineries. Will update review when we sign up for that. The owner is Sarah and she is very friendly and patient. Her ranch hand Denny was my guide and he is also super friendly and helpful as well. Check them out! Go for a horseback ride to a winery!Written August 29, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
