The Stayton Jordan Covered Bridge is amazing. I had come out to Stayton on a reconnaissance mission after studying photos on the internet of the covered bridge. The bridge is located in a very nice park that has nice restrooms and the park is inhabited by a beautiful red headed woodpecker. I walked across the covered bridge, it was a bucket list duty to perform and snapped some pictures. As mentioned before by another writer, it is a great place for a picnic, a wedding, special occasion, and it would have been a perfect place to photograph this one model, nearly six foot tall blonde woman, in a pin striped business suit. There is something about a woman in a business suit that drives me wild! A woman in a business suit is my idea of art! It would be so great. Like the line in a movie, "Here I am, a man of all this vision and the rest of the world wears bi-focals" I highly recommend you visit the Stayton-Jordan Bridge.

We stopped in town on our way through the area to look through shops and came across this fun little shop. It has a nice combination of vintage items and I was especially excited to find a postcard series on the Old Columbia River Highway from 1937 that was in pristine condition. Was also fun to visit with the owner, Cheryl, who is quite enthusiastic about her business.

Tours are open on the second Sunday of each month from 12-2pm. Admission is $5 for adults. This venue can also be rented for events and is filled with charm, character, and history. Beautifully restored victorian home.

I know it is an old building but that is part of the charm. The staff are always awesome. And I don't need to sell plasma to afford snacks.

Try the freeze dried candy, it’s so good! It’s also a great place to do photo shoots, it’s set up perfectly as a fun backdrop for photos.

Great selection of beer. Changes every so often so you have more to try. Seating inside and some outside too. Nice selection of games to play and a big screen TV for the sports enthusiast.
