What travelers are saying
- interviewtravelerWashington684 contributionsGreat views and access of the beach are here. Also a great photo op with the Seaside sign. Seaside is lots of fun. It's near lots of shops and restaurants too.Written July 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- madNYKent, WA118 contributionsThe logging museum is mostly big logging equipment outside. There is also a small memorial museum in a building. If you like looking at large logging machinery or the history of logging this is worth a stop. There is easy access and plenty of parking too.
We ordered the cinnamon roll to go (from the attached restaurant that is actually a separate busineee), as we had read it was very good. And yes it was. The roll was so large we had four servings of it over the next two days. Warmed in the microwave was a melt in your mouth experience.Written July 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are more folks near the turnaround, but still not too bad.Written July 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JerryOakridge, OR144 contributionsAwesome beach area for exploring or just finding a good Zen. The 'Lion' rock makes for a great photo shoot.Written August 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sightseer558626 contributionsI had read the reviews before going, so realized this is a tiny aquarium and certainly can be viewed in a half hour or so.
I was convinced to feed the seals, but four half sardines (or similar bait fish) for $2? Glad I didn't have a family of children with me.
The staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. And the gift shop while compact had a few things I picked up, including 2 of the "make a pearl necklace" ( sorry, I can't remember the actual name) items for gifts.

The description on the sign of the sight is based on a story told by an indigenous persons grandfather who saw two white med boiling salt water. Interesting.Written May 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Henry JrGatlinburg, TN3 contributionsI went for a quick stroll along the trail that was close to our accommodation. It was a rainy day, which made the trail slick and added to the pleasure. There are several roots and mud to cope with. Nice trail.Written August 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - love to travelWoodland, WA3 contributionsThis is a very fun hike and is very easy until the last maybe half mile. Gorgeous views!! - ConnieRPortland, OR112 contributionsThis unique photo experience shouldn’t be missed! My partner and I had A LOT of fun posing in the various scenes. I laughed so much! Our pictures turned out great, and it’s a pretty good deal since you get all of the shots and a free print of your choice. I didn’t want initially to do the bathroom poses, but that turned out the funniest! Still giggling every time I look at the pictures!Written October 28, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LaurettaYoungPortland, OR582 contributionsThis was by far the best carousel we have ever tried. Very long ride, clean the operator was pleasant and safety conscious. - rickh57Woodburn, OR400 contributionsThis is out of the way from Astoria back toward the Portland area, but there are lots of elk to observe along the road -- in a couple of different locations.Written February 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - karlag349Yakima, United States26 contributionsDespite its size, the exhibits are informative and visually interesting. The docent was knowledgeable about both the museum and the area history.
