- Bill GRiverside, CA12 contributionsThere are 2 outstanding courses at Heron Lakes. Green Back a typical northwest course with large fir trees and large greens a fun track. Great Blue is a more links course with more undulations on the green and demanding tee shots, toughest 3 finishing holes you will find. If you only have time for one game while in Portland visit Heron Lakes. I would have given it a 5 but the club house needs to be updated for sure.Written June 18, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - traveladdict3500Hasselt, Belgium749 contributionsI started at the golf shop and found they had a large collection of shoes, clothes, caps etc. I bought shoes, a poloshirt and a cap at a very decent price. It was very easy to rent golf clubs and I didn't have to make a reservation for a teetime (probably because it was a week day and I was a tourist). I used the driving range (is in 2 floors) to warm up and played 9 holes of the course. It was very nice. Too bad that this golf course has no restaurant or a cafe. It would have been nice to eat and drink something after playing.Written October 5, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NothreeputtsHercules, CA376 contributionsHi gang,
I heard Eastmoreland was an old classic course so I had to go. I found out it is almost 100 yrs old. The fairways are getting a little narrower due to the trees maturing. Course condition was very good, staff friendly and helpful. Once again I had the pleasure of following a group that didn’t allow me to play thru. Only after they stopped to grab some vittles they offered to let me go ahead. A 3-some invited me to join them on #11. It really helped as they gave me playing advice to enjoy my round, thanks for that.
I really appreciated the history and nostalgia of a mature golf course. Driving thru downtown Portland didn’t go well but I’m glad I went.
If you want to appreciate golf design from the past then definitely play here, you won’t regret it.

We were the guests of the title sponsor, Cambia Health, and had a fabulous time. the course was amazing and our pairing could not have been bettter...played with Nancy Lopez as a team member and Brooke Henderson as our pro. Brooke nailed a hole in one on 16 to seal our victory! I love this place!Written August 31, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DewPortlandPortland374 contributionsThe Clubhouse renovation and Remodel was completed this past Winter. A full bar and kitchen produce great hot dogs, sausages, pizza, turkey ham and roast beef sandwiches, fries with dipping sauce, and beers on draft.
The Clubhouse has all new furniture both inside and on an expansive patio overlooking the ninth fairway.
The course is in great shape with a Marshall encouraging people to keep up the pace. We did the 18 in 4.5 hours with a ninth hole stop for a dog and beer.
A beverage cart is available as you play.
The greens are in great shape. Fairways are mowed along with a short cropped rough. The creek that snakes through the course does attract a lot of balls so bring extra for that mulligan😀Written July 15, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ttocsnodrog_2000North Bonneville, WA776 contributionsOnce I realized that my GPS had taken me to a storage facility I knew I needed help. I called the course and they got me the directions I needed. Great service and a friendly staff made all the difference!
Once on the course I was amazed at how lush and well manicured it was. Great greens that ran true, and well defined fairways as well. I walked and even with the subtle hills I had not one issue. I golfed with great folks and had an even greater time!!Written June 4, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Several water features to golf over, trees that make it fun but not too challenging. Homeowners that will often yell if you're a bad golfer, i.e., you hit their house with a ball.Written October 24, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ResturantJakeVancouver, WA59 contributionsI am not a golfer, just work in the area. The Broadmoor's resturant is a great place to have a quick lunch, that is always fresh, old fashion quality food. They have several specials every day and a few lunch buffets each week ranging from chicken and pasta to prime rib on Fridays. Great value with prombt service. Don't let the appearance of the building discourage you on this one.Written July 17, 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AnoukPDXPortland, OR33 contributionsI like to play golf year round. Many of the courses around Portland in the winter are true wetlands and you need a small boat to get around. At Claremont they keep the fairways and the greens in great shape . I had an awesome round playing there today .Written January 5, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
