- David D1 contributionMy group of buddies and I have always dreamed about catching sturgeon but we just didn’t know how to make that dream a reality. We can across Buddy’s website online and saw all of the positive reviews, and we knew that was the guide we needed to use!
Buddy went above and beyond all of those positive reviews and gave us the fishing day of a lifetime. Our 6 guys tagged out on keeper sturgeon in less then an hour, and we are so so happy with the trip!
We will definitely be booking with them again for the other trips and could not recommend Buddy any more! You can tell he's an expert at his craft, knows the waters, baits, and techniques needed to catch fish in the Columbia River. Wether you want numbers of fish or a fish of a lifetime he can put you on both. We caught almost 40 sturgeon between 3-5 feet day 1 and caught a 10 foot 500lb+ sturgeon and a 8 foot sturgeon day 2 all before noon. Always fully aware of the water and in tune to the bite at all times.
Every adjustment made was immediately productive and safe.
Maintained a sense of urgency while keeping everyone on board safe at all times.
Provided clear and concise strategies fully backed by individual directives.
Simply the best charter experience I have ever had. Anywhere.
Not to mention reaching the full charter limit well before noon.

- Barbara BPortland, United States8 contributionsI can't thank Ben Parker enough for the fun and successful fishing trip my husband and five of his family and friends enjoyed on my husband's birthday. The guys are still talking about their "Boys Day Out" and how much fun they had, especially when they were able to BBQ the salmon they caught that afternoon. It was delicious! I'm sure the sea lions wish they would have caught those. I was surprised that the men brought the fish home already cleaned and filleted (Thank you!). I highly recommend Ben Parker for his professionalism, comfortable boat, top of the line gear and relaxed atmosphere. - Jaskel08California374 contributionsWe had a great experience fishing with Dan. It was my 9 year old son’s first time and he had a blast. Dan was very kid friendly. It was also my first time fishing in Oregon and he was great at helping arrange the logistics of what I need and where to go. Dan was very entertaining as well as open and realistic about the current fishing conditions. We really appreciated his honesty and integrity. We will definitely be back! Bryan made everything easy, and he communicated all that we’d need to bring with us for a successful day on the water. - Brandon P3 contributionsA Lance Fisher Fishing gift certificate was provided for Xmas for my girlfriend and I. We fish often but don’t have the means to fish the big rivers like the Willamette or Columbia. So along with another friend we went spring salmon fishing just in time for the water to clear up. 1st off, Shannon is amazing. She handled all the booking, billing and many questions I asked her before we got on the boat. She replied fast to any emails, calls and texts and was super friendly doing it. On the boat our guide Evan was friendly, very knowledgeable and did everything in his power to get fish in the boat. We caught fish, got a tan and had a good time seeing Milwaukie to St. Johns from the river. Lots of guides out there to choose from. Also super nice and just fun to be around. There’s simply no one that tries harder to catch clients fish than BrokenBack Sturgeon fishing.
