Just a beautiful area to get some exercise and commune with nature.

The trails and plants are well marked and just wild enough to keep the place from seeming like a city park.

You can find solitude in this park, even though it's in the middle of downtown and is bordered by the Transit Center and a lot of businesses.
When I was 5 years old (1960) mother would go the 1 1/2 miles downtown and spent many an hour playing in the park while mother went to the library.
Fort Hoskins Historic County Park

I had visited Fort Hoskins park before and remembered it as a beautiful setting in both pastures and in woods.
