Went to shop. The outlet mall is good with shaded areas to walk through and fans. Lots of options especially amongst the work out stores (UA, Nike, Adidas, Reebok)

It is very nice and mid size mall; has most of the common stores. It has enough parking lot and easily reached by car. We had nice launch and chilled at cafe.

Lots of intriguing items to check out while here.

Quite an extensive collection of antique jewelry, although not clear if it’s fake or real, as items are scattered throughout.

Some of the election pins are fun, but not sure what’s authentic or not.

The KFC displays are a cool walk through history.

The Barbie’s from the 60-70 era were a throwback.

Staff are helpful and willing to get you keys for any display cases for items you are interested in at all.

This is very good shopping center in Oklahoma City and about 11 mi away from downtown. It has a lot of nice stores. We had nice time at the mall. The area around the center has a lot of department stores, restaurants, cafes and stores.

I love this place. Best prices. Great selection. And friendly owners who work their business 7 days a week. It’s a great place to find a deal.

This is a hidden little gem around the Moore area. It has both antiques and some crafts in it. Not a really big store but I bet you can find something to take home with you. Seemed a little short staffed when we were there. But it is for sure worth checking out if in the area.

OKC in a great destination for art museums.

Lyuda Cameron who is a member of the Mid-Del Art Guild (MDAG) invited us to see the Ukrainian Children for Peace exhibit at the Oklahoma Contemporary Art Center (11 NW 11th St, OKC). Lyuda explained to me that the dog painting is of “Bullet”, a well-known bomb sniffing dog in the Ukraine. Bullet searches for bombs that have been hidden in destroyed buildings by the Russians who are hoping to kill more Ukrainians as they look for people and property. The painting of the two birds combines their beloved stork with our revered eagle and together we are saving democracy and the Ukrainian people.

While there, we also saw the art installation of refugee camps called “Shelter” by Lisa Karrer. Included in the exhibits are interviews of displaced people fleeing violence and social and economic upheavals. I was very interested to read an interview of a Vietnamese who said their family does not say I Love You, they show it by asking if you are hungry and feeding you. Recently I picked up my dog at the local groomer (Soi) who is Vietnamese. We got to chatting and she said she makes big batches of egg rolls several times a year and makes some for her customers. She gave my husband and I several egg rolls to take home for dinner. We were honored and when I read the interview at the exhibit, it hit home about food and love.

Thank you Lyuda, Lisa and the OK Contemporary Art Center. Art can touch our souls and help us take action to help others.

Happened to stop by with family and spotted some magnificent works in front for sale.
Stepping in the store further I noticed a large comfortable room where there were a number of students making their creations, all at varying levels. All appeared to be having a great time in the process with some jovial and some intensely involved in their creations. Reasonable course rates, too. Right at the top of the Paseo district on the left in the pink building.

I look for the unusual on my travels, an original "Shell" shaped Shell Gas Station, a giant whisk sticking out of the sidewalk, you get the idea. When I saw this on one of my architectural feeds, I knew I had to stop in on this trip to see it. It is just unique enough to justify the stop, parking was a little difficult, fortunately it was after work hours and I used one of their lots. The item itself is well done, the little park between buildings is very clean and you can get some decent pictures.
I would highly recommend it for architectural geeks like me.

Stay away from this place if you're a shutterbug like I am. After taking photos at the entrance the owner confronted me, accused me of taking photos of the security cameras, and told me to leave. In all the antique shops and malls across America that I have visited, to say nothing of stores in general, I have NEVER encountered this kind of hostility before, and as someone who's lived in places where people are very rude, that's saying something.
