- phvi2617Anaheim, CA661 contributionsI've always wanted to go to Cedar Point, and I had the chance to make a half-day visit on Independence Day weekend. Since it was a busy day and given my limited time, I purchased the Fast Lane Plus. While it was quite expensive, I thought it was worth it, and I used it for thirteen rides in just under six hours.
The roller coasters were my main reason for visiting, and I was able to ride eleven of the park's eighteen coasters. Unfortunately, Top Thrill 2 was closed the entire day, but there are plenty of other thrills, from classic woodens like Blue Streak and Gemini to hyper-coasters like Magnum XL and Millennium Force.
My favorite was definitely Maverick, with its launches, tight turns, and excellent theming. Close runners-up were Steel Vengeance and Gate Keeper. Aside from the many rides, the park is well-kept, and there are a variety of food outlets. If you are a coaster enthusiast, Cedar Point definitely needs to be on your bucket list!Written November 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Very glad we decided to go, enjoyed the history and the carousel ride was a nice bonus.Written November 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Both our kids, 10 and 6 had a great time. It was good value for the money. When you stay at the hotel you get the water parks for free. The staff go out of their way to make sure you are happy.
Make sure you book your room close to the fun or you will be walking far! 2 sit down restaurant's on site, both were very good.Written July 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with this place, but you can find something like this in almost any city in the US.
The one different wrinkle is there is a roller skating rink, which are almost extinct these days. They do have some decent combo deals. We did a deal that included unlimited roller skating, bounce house, mini golf, and a 4d ride for $23.
We also did the arcade and they were pretty generous with their prizes based on tickets won. The mini golf was terrible. Nine holes, dark inside the course and hard to find the holes.
Kids were too young to do the haunted house. They have an indoor one that looks permanent and an outdoor one that appears to be seasonal for Halloween.
Kids, ages 7 and 10, had a good time, so if you are looking for something indoors to do in Sandusky, then give this place a try.Written October 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were given the option of either buying a small, medium, or large bag of feed and we opted for the smallest bag. After paying the admission fee, we made our way inside the park. The deer were quite friendly and immediately came up to us once we entered their area. There were several times where I did have to backtrack a bit because the deer were completely swarming me from all angles. There was a small gift shop in the main building, along with restrooms located in the next building over.
Tip: I recommend spending 45 minutes here if you truly want to see everything.Written November 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Carrie D.Cleveland, OH2,418 contributionsWe were all in town for a wedding last weekend and had time to kill before the reception, so a group of us stopped by the Firelands Winery to get drinks, snacks and to catch up. We had a pleasant afternoon out on the deck!
It isn't full-service anymore, but that was totally fine--we just took turns going inside to order our drinks and, eventually food. They do bring the food out to you if you're sitting on the deck, which we were. They have a nice selection of local wines, including from a couple of old local favorites that aren't around any longer like Lonz and Mon Ami. We tried several different bottles and were pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive they were. We also shared a margherita pizza (just ok) and a pepperoni pizza (really good), as well as a charcuterie board. The servers and staff inside were all friendly and helpful. It was a lovely afternoon and we're glad we came!Written June 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The park was relatively small, and consisted of several piers that extended out towards Lake Erie. There were benches located alongside the piers, along with a small restaurant and restrooms on site.

- Wayne BLexington, KY616 contributionsWe were here for one night. This was a nice hotel/water park. I am told it is much smaller than the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, OH/Cincinnati. My 9 year old daughter liked it fine. The one complaint I have was related to the electrical outlets in the room. There are very few of them and they are mostly in use. If you have a lot of electronics I would recommend and extension cord and something like a power strip.Written October 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Little Homeschool Blessings447 contributionsThis was a unique house tour to say the least. The home is decorated for the mid-1900's. Many of the historic homes we've seen are much older so it was interesting to see a newer, old home.
Our tour didn't seem to last very long (20-30 minutes), but our guide was knowledgeable. Maybe because we had some younger kids and she was concerned too much lingering may cause an issue (although my guys have gone on tours routinely since they were babies and don't touch and are attentive, so it wouldn't have been a problem). The large living room area was my favorite.Written December 30, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nathan DOak Hill, OH3 contributionsTour lasts an hour and is full of tons of information. Information about his life, his family, his work ethic, and his many ideas and inventions. House contains original items used by Edison and his family. The house is still owned by the family and you are provided with information that only a family owned museum can provide.
