We were so excited to see the William Sherman homeplace, in fact we couldn't wait for April when the museum opened for the season. Our tour guide was very informative and answered all of our questions thoroughly. It was amazing to see that many of the original furnishings remain and also many artifacts from General Sherman's time on the Civil War battlefield. All of his family history was very interesting as well.

Our second time visiting The Rock, side winery, and Vineyard’s was excellent. We got a flight to split between us and it is a winery. Should they gave us a small bowl of crackers to cleanse the pallet between tastings we bought three bottles the staff was wonderful, professional, polite, courteous, friendly, we will return, and the wine was great.

A local shop owner suggested RIsing Park to us. The wonderful view of Lancaster, the Hocking Hills, and the distant Columbus skyline was a nice surprise!

It's an easy stop to add to a day on the town. The house was beautifully restored and featured some of the original furniture as well as other contemporary, local pieces. The prices at the gift shop were more than reasonable, and my boyfriend bought a replica 1885 map of Lancaster.

Great tour of house and art gallery. Like the variety of art that is presented at various exhibits. Tour guide very knowledgeable, and shared many stories of visiting the house when it was a home and she was growing up. Made the tour even more interesting to hear her personal experiences.

Decided to stop by since we don't get out that way often. The tasting room and grounds were nice, as usual. They take reservations which I don't understand why breweries do this. Should be first come, first serve in my opinion. Luckily we got a shady spot since it was very hot out. The pizza we ordered was good. I'd recommend it. When Rockmill first opened, we loved their beer. Easily one of our favorites. I'm not sure if our palettes have changed? We still love Belgian style beers but we didn't think the beers we drank tasted as good as they once did. Again, maybe our palettes have changed over time. Still someplace we will stop by, if in the area, but may not be a destination like it was in the beginning.

This was our second glass museum, the first was the Corning in New York. Based on those two, I'm hoping to visit more.

This small museum in in a former bank building, and they've used the space well. The staff is supremely knowledgeable and friendly. Their largest gallery is devoted to special exhibits--this visit featured the Libby glass company from Toledo--but there are a good number of exhibits on the Anchor Hocking company, still headquartered in Lancaster (and provider of many of the volunteers who work this museum).

Maybe the most fun time was at 2:00 when they presented a glass blowing demo. We'd watched glass blowing before, but never had it explained clearly and thoroughly as it was done.

It's a lovely way to spend your Lancaster time.

The Olde Shoe Factory has over 125 vendors in 40,000 SF of space. The second weekend of every month the amazing third floor is open with 15,500 SF of mancave items. The facility is neat, clean and well organized with virtually every type of antique represented. Prices are competitive and the customer service is amazing. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. It takes months or years to get a vendor space in this antique mall.

We loved finding covered bridges in Ohio. This was a bonus, since there was an old mill there as well. The mill is closed, but you can still walk around the grounds for pictures and there's a picnic table and porta potty there as well. The bridge can actually be rented out for private events and the information is provided on a sign in the bridge. This is one of the smaller bridges in the county, but still enjoyed our stop.

Hiked Christmas Rocks for the first time in March 2023. Nicely maintained trails, beautiful woodlands and rock formations. Good workout with climbing at 4.5 miles total. We will return.

This is quite a unique cemetery with lots of history. It's so sad that so much damage was done to the headstones and the gate had to be locked. You can still view the cemetery, and see inside the gate. It's on a very nice piece of property, and so peaceful. There is even a picnic table there and some benches. There is a parking lot that holds about 12 vehicles, as well as an area for tour bus parking.

I’m not much of a beer person, but I went to Double Edge a few weeks ago for their Rock and Roll Bingo event. Had a great time! Staff was great—helped me find something that I liked to drink. They don’t serve food here, but sometimes have a food truck in the parking lot. You can also carry in food. I had a great time and would go back.

Built in 1948, "The Skyview", as the locals call it, is an actual, functioning drive-in theater. There are less than 400 of these drive-ins left in the United States. The
owners have maintained the traditions of the original drive-ins, including the central
concession stand serving up hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, and, of course, popcorn. I
have to laugh every time they show those hilarious old commercials at intermission
with the dancing, singing box of popcorn, sandwiches, and beverages inviting us to go
to the snack bar. This drive-in has an 80-foot screen, and visitors have a choice of
dialing up FM stereo or using the old metal car speakers from the 1940’s that hook
onto your car window. On warm summer nights, some people spread out blankets on
the ground in front of the screen. And don't forget as you enter the movie lot to "Please Dim Lights, Speed Limit 5 mph". For those of us who remember going with
our dates to the drive-in, a visit here is a real dose of nostalgia. If you are travelling
with kids, this is a rare opportunity to show them in person what a real movie drive-in was like. It's a real treat for everybody, young or old. Don't miss this chance to visit this drive-in theater before they all go extinct!
