The colours are so vivid and the massive spead so impressive that you show the best of Australia to the tourists!! Best to go between end of Sept and November when the spring flowers are in full bloom.
My previous review (2015) was in autumn and the maples were terrific, but in October and early November the azaleas and rhododendrons are in full glorious bloom.

Definitely go to the bottom to the Blue Gum, its well worth the effort, you will need some level of fitness and plenty of water.
Go off trail a bit and find this, the views are truly amazing all along the valley/ridges.

Combining the cave and Anvil Rock make a good visit for reluctant walkers, aka kids or grandparents, as the short access walks are rewarded with interesting natural features and great views.
Make sure you visit if you go to Anvil Rock Nice eroded cave just a short walk from car park.
