We found great results, but some are outside Yelapa. Showing results in neighboring cities.
Limit search to Yelapa.

Great well-marked trail along the water from Boca de Tomatlan to this beach, which takes you along coastline and other small beaches along the way.
This trip we spent time at several beaches: Colomitos, the little beach just south of Colomitos that we hiked to, Yelapa, and Las Animas.

The day visitors are there from about 11:00 to 3:00 or so because all beaches in Mexico are public.
There was an open bar, a volleyball net, ample beach bags to lounge on, kayaks, paddle boards, and great scenery.

I always come to this beach when in Vallarta, nice sandy beaches, lots of activities water activities (banana boat, parasailing, flyboard, etc...), shops and restaurants are nearby if you need a break from the beach.
Sandy beach, lined with great restaurants and shops...You can take a panga boat taxi, from the pier, to Yelapa, Los Animas, or Quimixto beaches.
