#1 of 4 Nature & Parks in Fleet
I love the diversity of Fleet Pond, Pine forest, various trees in the woods including delicious chestnuts every Autumn, the heathland with its huge expanse of heather and gorse.
... and Fleet railway car park; with large lakes/ponds, woodland paths, glades of grassland and meadows with picnic tables and benches in some places; large number of swans, geese and ducks and many visiting birds;
Basingstoke Canal Mytchett, UK 5.2 mi away
#1 of 1 Nature & Parks in Mytchett
This campsite is great for family casual cycling holidays; we cycled with our 8yr old & 5 yr old along the canal towpath most days (also good for walkers and bird spotting - we saw kingfishers!).
... really cute little boat (complete with bunting!) that seats up to 12 people and is staffed by two volunteers who give you lots of information about the history and surrounding area and point out all the wildlife!
Frensham Little Pond Frensham, UK 8.2 mi away
#1 of 2 Nature & Parks in Frensham
Once up on the ridge, clear views can be had over a large area, including a good view of the distant Frensham Great Pond, today hosting blue sailed dinghies racing each other.
Varied environment of pine and oak forest, coupled with heather heathland, sandy paths and hills.
