Pevensey Bay Beach
#1 of 1 Nature & Parks in Pevensey
A great beach that one can park nearby so it is very easy to access and near to the shops and restaurants - a stony beach but a quiet and tranquil area if you go out of the main season
The park is easy walking distance to Pevensey Bay village, we ate at Raipur curry house (lovely) had Fish and Chips on the beach and ate at the Moorings (£10 for 3 courses) all good value.

It took us 45 minutes to walk/wheel the 3 miles from Pier to Harbour (My husband is a fast walker mind) with the sea-view on one side and the colourful beach huts, parks, restaurants etc. on the other.
Usually can find places to park, except bank holidays in good weather, and school holidays.

Lovely to see ancient woodland left to nature (there are paths - but off path - totally unspoilt) Dogs must be kept on leads so this ensures the flowers are protected.

This was a a very good decision, we stopped at Beachy Head, parked in a public car park and has a little wander about, lots of walkers and cyclists, stunning views, very windy but as sun was out so some warmth.
You can continue following the outstanding coastline with it's cliffs to Belle Tout lighthouse, Burling Gap and the Visitor Centre of Seven Sisters National Park.

There is free parking on the main road above the theatre, it's best to park along the main road, just past the Hydro hotel road entrance as you go towards Beachy Head.
It is worth the walk along the promenade from the pier to here or you can park on the road and walk down the steps.
