Cannot believe how much time, effort and dedication went into building this. A complete labour of love that they should be very proud of.Written October 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Close to the city and right on the sea.
The staff takes care of the guests and gives excellent treatment.
The food is varied and plentiful.
The guy from the reception named Myron gave us excellent service and above expectationsWritten August 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. WaterPark itself was pretty quiet so no queues which made it better, the park was clean and tidy especially the toilets
However the food was awful and overpriced - cheeseburger came out half frozen had to send back and if the resident cat doesn’t eat the food we gave him then that says it allWritten September 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The activities were ideal for our girls (aged 3 and 5). Prices are very reasonable. Around 10 euros for entry and then additional prices for activities (but these are low at €3). Could not recommend this place enough. Very Cretan park which had us entertained all afternoon!Written August 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - annaScotland, UK31 contributionsWe visited at the start of September, hardly had to queue for any rides, park was pretty quiet. Lots of slides and all varied for different ages, the sun loungers weren’t comfy and outdated. The park was however clean. There were lifeguards at the top of every slide however i personally don’t think they were that attentive, made your own decision if it was safe to go or not. Lockers were cheap and safe and you get a band which the workers scan and then you pay at the end so you don’t need to carry cash. The food wasn’t good, very average and once in the park everything is pretty expensive. We got a deal for £35 pp including transfer however the lady told me 4pm collection and it was actually 5pm. Wasn’t very organised and we ended up getting a taxi back.Written September 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maria mHeraklion, Greece5 contributionsAs a local who lives in heraklion I have to say that many reviews are false or biased. There are a few beaches in analipsi and kato gouves. Some are good, some are not so good. But there are definately a few good sandy beaches. There are also beaches in hersonisos. The place is beautiful. A lot of locals tend to buy second houses in the area. Analipsi and kato gouves are next to each other and they are more as a tourist resort as they are seaside. Also, they are a lot more quieter than Hersonisos, located a few km away. More likely for families. If you want to see traditional villages you should visit Ano Hersonissos (the village of Hersonissos), piskopiano, koutouloufari, mohos. If you want isolation, beautiful sea views and nature you should stay in Agriana/Prinolagkado. Agriana is located in the middle of analipsi and hersonisos and it is away from all the hustle and bustle. You can always visit beaches in analipsi, kato gouves, hersonisos, anisaras from there as it is 2-3 km away. You definitely need a car if you stay there. You could also visit Malia and Stalida. Agios Nikolaos and Elounda is about 40km away, worth visiting. But if you want pristine white beaches and calmness without crowds and you are in for an adventure (as it is far away) you should visit xerocambos (Lefki). I strongly recommend xerocambos if you don't want a tourist resort, there are only a few taverns - cafes and a few apartment rentals. But the beaches are incredible. There is mazida, the big central beach, a smaller one, the clay beach, krinakia beach, alatsolimni etc. North of xerocambos there are a few traditional villages such as lithines, ziros and xandras. And close by is the famous Vai. A lot of incredible places. You could visit Sitia or ierapetra and makris gialos. Heraklion and Lasithi have such a vast variety of options. You could also visit the beautiful chania and rethymno but I feel that heraklion and lasithi are so underatted.Written April 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BobGraham1973Kidderminster, UK31 contributionsSaw an ad in Malia for this wonderful place, so decided I’d persuade the rest of the party to join me to sample some craft brewed ales. Antonoi learned
Antonio is the head brewer and served us his brews. The Pilsner is outstanding. Full bodied, holding all its flavours to the last drop. The dunkelweiss and the one he described as flavours of Crete, were beautifully balanced and well worth sampling, but not my preference We finished up with his amber which was one of those beers that grows on you as you work your way down the glass to appreciate its complexity. For
Antonio brewing is without doubt a labour of love(, and he is happy to share stories on how he learned his craft in Germany, Belgium &!Itsly amongst other places.

- Mal1963malBradford, UK167 contributionsWe have walked past this shop and looked in the window many times over the last few years. This year we actually went in and talked to the artist about having a painting done of my son’s dog. That was 10 days ago, we are home now with the painting. And the best thing I can say is, I have ordered another to be sent to the uk. This time I sent 3 pictures and asked the artist to pick the best one for a painting. That’s how good and helpful she is and I trust her artistic eye for which picture will be the best. I could go on and on about how good they are and how kind, friendly and helpful they are. Many thanks to all at PaintOnDemandWritten September 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ruth BLondon, UK13 contributionsMy husband and I came to Crete to visit Minoan sites, of which Crete has many. When we heard about this museum, though, we were excited to find out more about the social history of modern Crete (19th and 20th century). It is very well laid out with themed rooms in a building which formerly was an olive oil production facility. There were good displays of domestic, cooking equipment, metalworking and carpentry tools, the olive presses, a wine press and weaving equipment and traditional woven items. Essentially, it gives an insight into the daily life in Crete of the past 200 years or more. A highlight was a video showing women at work showing wool processing from shearing, carding to setting up the loom.Written October 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
