If you go there I promise you will have the most hilarious and fun time. The prices were good, competitive or below other places we stopped. The employees were so nice and friendly. My friends and I enjoyed our visit and all came away with some interesting finds. - Stardust86Belleville, MI310 contributionsLoved the old-fashioned old-timey feeling shops, and its nice that there are a bunch of stores to browse within walking distance of eachother. The little ones in our group especially loved Berlin Pets – we were not shopping for a puppy, but the space is very open and anyone can handle and play with the puppies, which of course is a big-hit with little kids.
From the pictures online I got the impression somewhere in Schrock’s they do horse-drawn buggy rides, but we weren’t able to find where that was so wound up taking one over at Hershbergers instead.
Fun area though to pass some time, was nice to get out of the heat (shopping is always a good rainy day activity too). There are haiku poems along the trail. We really enjoyed the artwork but honestly expected to see more of it. When we talked to the staff at the front desk they said they only add about one new installation a year. Would like to go back again in the summer or fall to see how the trees look along the path during that time. We were the only ones on the trail when we went during the week which was nice. Pots, yard art, fountains, etc. Definitely worth the stop. I’ll return. The mother / daughter team have a great personality and are friendly. Did not fid that at many other malls or stores, Great selection and they try hard for your business.
