My son (15) is going on a school skiing trip and we booked four weekly lessons, one to one, as an introduction to skiing. I’m so glad we did this. His instructor Josh was brilliant with him, put him at ease with a good sense of humour. My son made great progress in such a short space of time. Book in advance as the slots get booked up quickly. I was so impressed with the Ski Centre - every member of staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I have no hesitation at all in recommending this business. Thank you to all that work there 🙂

The Windmill Hill Golf Course is a typically British golf course with long fairways, but fair to play. What I like in general in England is the uncomplicated way to play golf in UK compared to Germany!

Centre has a bowling alley, swimming pool with a flume, gymnasium (recently upgraded), virtual reality spin room for cyclists and three rooms for classes (piltates etc). Also coffee shop and soft play centre for the children. So something for everyone.

Took my son to Brick Farm Lakes after a work colleague recommended it. A beautiful location, well run and maintained. We fished all the lakes and saw some massive fish in the Stag Lake. My son caught a nice 2lb rainbow and I just missed out on a larger fish. Fly used was Long shank nymph Hare's ear with Twinkle size 12.
Easy to understand why Brick Farm is in top 40 Stillwater League.

I'm sorry to have to give Amazon an average score as the welcome we received from Mark and his team and the organisation of the games, the energy on the day etc. was all great. Our hen party had an awesome time competing against each other and other hen groups and I would be inclined to use Amazon again on that basis (the only thing I would suggest is that they offer water/toilet breaks during the games).
However, lunch was pretty poor. We had pre-booked our lunch but were made to stand around for half an hour while they served burgers to others who hadn't booked. When we asked about this they realised they'd been serving the burgers they were cooking for us to other people. The burgers themselves were cheap, but fine, though one of the girls on the grill said she wasn't sure how to tell when they were done. The buns were frozen and just barely defrosted by the time we got them. No cheese, but plenty of sauces available. Veggie burgers were on offer. However, the gluten free option was simply a veggie burger, no bun. There wasn't any cutlery, so our gluten free friend had to eat her burger from a piece of tissue. It took about another 20 minutes before we all got a burger. There was also a mix up with lunch that wasn't Amazon's fault, but that of the agent we booked through (Simply Good Times) and the staff tried their best to rectify that, which was good.
If it hadn't been for lunch I probably would have given them an excellent, or at least Very Good, score, it's a shame that the disorganised and slightly shoddy service we received at the end of the day spoiled our experience.
