We followed the said sign to to top of the road where there is a lovely entrance arch to Stoneywood, and there is the Star Disc, a huge granite circle engraved with the constellations and with stones surrounding it.
Set above a woodland park which is great for dog walking complete with fire pit (children loved lighting a fire here) and several sculptures to explore in the old quarry.
