What travelers are saying
- CBurkeTorontoToronto31 contributionsI visit this market every Saturday morning in the summer for all my fruit and vegetable needs. I so appreciate all the hardworking farmers who bring ultra fresh produce to my doorstep (almost) ! Pick up a beautifully arranged floral bouquet too! Also baked treats of all sorts. Shop local and support small. Always a friendly small town feel here. Love it!Written November 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cathy BCanada35 contributionsI've been a fan of Heartwood and their cider delivery for a while now, so it was definitely time for an in person experience. If you're looking for a safe and comfortable way to socialize with friends (that doesn't involve sitting on a driveway or your backyard) this is the place for you!
Our group of five found a picnic table surrounded by beautiful shade trees. This little clearing in the woods is really beautiful, it feels like something from a novel or movie. I wish I'd taken a photo! The service was friendly and helpful, both at the table and when we made our purchases at the end. (Thank you Joel, Naomi and Matt!) Ordering a flight (4 samples) is the best way to sample their excellent cider, and find your personal favourites. We left with cider, bbq sauce, syrup and honey to share with family and friends.
It's clear that a lot of thought and care has gone into Heartwood to make the cider and the experience memorable. The clear sign from the road and signs for parking, chalkboard with up to date menu and prices, QR code to add the menu to your phone, chalk labels on the flight tray, online reservation system are details that make the whole experience easy to enjoy. Don't worry about the rain, they've got that covered too! (But you may want to bring bug spray just in case the mosquitoes are thirsty!)
I plan on going back with more friends and doing this all over again. I highly recommend visiting Heartwood and having this experience for yourself!Written July 18, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They offer high quality craft brews, and is great to have in our back yard here in Georgetown. I have enjoyed all of their beers, but in particular I like the cream lager, the dark, and the red ale. I'm not a big IPA fan, but their Chicken Man IPA is quite good as well. I also enjoy their specialty batches, but they usually sell out quickly! If you like beer and live in Halton, do yourself a favour, skip the regular brands at the Beer Store, and try out some of the great brews Furnace Room offers!Written October 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - bigdoubled71London, Canada3,092 contributionsScotch Block Winery is located at Andrew Scenic acres which we stopped to try some wines. Scotch Block or Andrew scenic acres has a large selection of fruit wines including a cider. They have a pumpkin wine too which was unique. The person doing the tastings was also doing cash for the wine store which was very busy. Tasting bar is very small and everyone were waiting as the server as she was trying to do two jobs. Wines were ok unfortunately the poor service spoiled it as several people just left.Written September 30, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
