The battleship is immaculately preserved, with excellent tour guides. We learned that the North Carolina was the most warded battleship of World War II. It was a great tour.

Azalea time! Tulips in bloom. Very beautiful well cared for gardens, Most of the paths are paved and handicapped accessible. The map given when you pay is so general it is almost worthless. There are signs, but they describe what to see without pointing you in the right direction. Be prepared for a lot of walking.

This is a great area to explore on foot. Second Street is probably my favorite as there is quite a bit of traffic on 3rd and also on Front Street. You can spend an hour or two here just admiring the beautiful old homes. This area has the highest elevation in the Wilmington area, about 35 feet above sea level. I walked around it a few times by myself and also with my wife and it is very enjoyable.

Very lovely easy walk past very nice eateries. Clearly the area has been redone. The river is not a lovely as others I have seen. However, it was just right after visiting the Nemours Estate.

We took at 10am guided tour with Christina. She was amazing. It was just my friend and myself so she asked how much time we had and what we wanted to focus on. She gave us a great overview and I learned so much! The guided tour is only an extra $5 and more than worth it. There is so much history in that little corner of Wilmington that you would never guess. Just an FYI: the house does not have A/C.

Enjoyable stay at Dreamers by DW.

Superb dinner and drinks at both Savorez and Caprice Bistro. Highly recommend both.

Many coffee shops to choose from near River Walk.

    Great, short get away.

My sister and I stumbled upon this gem while on a road trip. We arrived as they were closing but the kind lady still showed us the property. Her information was amazing! We have never had such a great tour!

We loved learning the history of Wilmington and surrounding areas. I had no idea that so much happened in this part of the country! The museum is clean, well organized, and had a lot of interactive hands on exhibits.

Introductory to Wilmington's past. This house was built 1771 on top of ballast stone walls of the former city jail (circa 1744). Our male docent did a wonderful job bringing this home and occupants to life. One thing not mentioned was the house served as Lord Cornwallis headquaters. Metered street parking or walking distance from Pay Parking lots.

The owners personally took care of us by explaining each wine and it's origination, family owned business for decades, delicious wine and knowledgeable staff. I will definitely go back next time we are in the area.

Outdoor is impressing and reading about history is best part. Running trains are detailed and showing old Wilmington is fascinating but could be better. Worth it for the price for sure!

My daughter has done the NC summer camp, Florida Keys, and Costa Rica summer camp with Sea Turtle Camp and had an incredible experience each and every time. Your camper won't be disappointed.

So pleasant, quiet, and well done. This is a comparatively small garden but it is handicapped accessible and an easy walk around. The landscaping is individualized into sections and the Japanese garden features a teahouse, a small waterfall and a stream. There are picnic areas and a large pond with beautiful koi. Loved it.

Walk the boardwalk, eat at a restaurant, visit the shops, enjoy the views. Usually very hot in the summer.
A nice experience with no charge for the walk.
