- kghudsonHouston, TX454 contributionsNeat little Museum documenting the history of Morehead City. Tributes to veterans was appropriate for us visiting just before Memorial Day. Docents were very knowledgeable and engaging. Gave us many tips for local restaurants and things to do in the surrounding area.Written May 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jeffrey1967New Bern, NC142 contributionsGreat game and great people working the game. Good food and ice cold beer available: great seats for all and we can’t wait to go againWritten July 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Treehouse-2000Emerald Isle, NC354 contributionsWide array of items, clean, neat, easy to see. We did not have any trouble finding it. Prices seemed to be fairly average for these type of shops.Written July 6, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JohnandJanaIndianapolis, IN367 contributionsWe always try to find a seafood festival to attend it we can for vacation. We found this one in Morehead City and planned our trip around it. They have a couple of other festivals around the state, just check their web site. This was focused on local fish and other food products. It started on Friday, ran through Sunday (October 6-8). They had a chef's tent with cooking demonstrations all day long on the hour. They had room for 50 'audience' members who got to taste the food that was cooked. If there was extra, anyone in the back also had a chance to taste. They had different chefs on Saturday and Sunday, each cooked a different kind of fish. It was absolutely fantastic. They had food vendors, many of which were actually using locally caught/sourced NC seafood and were labeled as such so you could make sure you supported them. There were also other vendors (you name it, you could probably find it) and they had another stage that had cooking demonstrations from the local culinary school at the university. They also had rides and 2 music stages. Other than initally walking through the vendors, we spent all of our time at the chef's tent both days. It was great. Good group of chefs, very knowledgeable and offered some great tips. Food offerings were great. A HUGE shout outs to Ken Riley (I think) as the past president of the event and on the board, Chad was one of the chefs who was also there representing the ag industry and Chuck who had the Tidewater Rice booth. 3 really great guys. Also a shout out to all of the volunteers who helped make the event a success, always with a smile and ready to answer any questions! When this comes around next year, make plans to attend!Written October 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Teresa Wilson3 contributionsWhat a great little store, or should I say big store! Filled with lots of different things. Wonderful atmosphere. Down home field. But the store itself was quite large. Very friendly staff enjoyed the music spent over 2 hours just shopping in there.Written August 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - terpfan71Beaufort, NC4 contributionsSaw Carteret Comminity Theater's (CCT) production of Grease this weekend and WOW what a show. Over the last 35 years we have seen many of CCT's productions, but none have been better than Grease. The singing, dancing, choreography and overall production quality were way beyond what one would expect from a community theater. Kudos to the cast and crew and especially to Katie Dixon for her direction. If it weren't sold out we would have gone back to see it again.Written July 9, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - chemjim1Beaufort, NC107 contributionsGood place to sight-see - lots of colorful charter fishing boats, shops and restaurants on the waterfront. Plus if you time it right, you'll see the various charter boat crews off loading and sometimes cleaning some of the fish caught that day, which is always an interesting spectacle. There's something to do for everyone here of all ages. It's easy to get to with plentiful parking and facilities. Prime time activities include the Seafood Festival (3 days each October) and the Big Rock Tournament (2nd week of June each year). These bring lots of people and crowds.Written October 19, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- William HCharlottesville, VA107 contributionsWe live in Virginia, but have a beach house at Atlantic Beach. We enjoy browsing through this art gallery on our many visits to the area. Nice atmosphere and art work well-displayed. Owner friendly, but not pushy. Lots of art of local interest. A good spot to visit!Written August 12, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
