What travelers are saying
- Donna SRome, GA37 contributionsAmazing place to hike the AT. We hiked the area a number of times in all seasons from Lemon Gap, Garenflo Gap and in winter just from the Max Patch Parking lot. It is super windy on the top especially in winter. Dress warm. We hiked in the snow in March on a birthday trip for my husband and it was absolutely beautiful.Written January 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Monte Harris L1 contributionMy wife Ashley and I went on January 30th, 2024 to check out the ice cream after seeing the sign outside .... The ice cream is high quality and well priced ... made from all natural products like sugarcane with rich taste and creamy .. Very tasty ...
The owner was a nice guy with the other 3 employees present. 2 ladies were making a sign on a chalk board and a young gal was being trained behind the counter.
We will be returning for 2nd's today to get the 5 scope bowl ...Yum yum!!!Written January 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. If you enter by the footbridge across the creek you'll have an easy walk for a short period before the steep climb with switchbacks. There are some great views along the way and you'll want to take photos. There are no toilets nor any water around. You can walk from downtown Marshall - perhaps better to leave your car there - and be back within about 2 hours.Written May 24, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DANNI HURLEY1 contributionHI Hikers, The MADISON COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER walks dogs here EVERY TUESDAY from 9 am to 12 pm. Please help us keep our animals and volunteers safe by LEASHING YOUR DOG while on the trail. We so appreciate it--and our pups do, too! THANK YOU!Written July 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Melissa M5 contributionsOur group stayed in a campsite on the French Broad River. The site was lovely and it was very relaxing listening to the river rapids while enjoying a campfire. We enjoyed a mineral bath in the evening which contributed even more to the relaxation. Our only complaint is that the bathrooms were quite distant from our campsite.Written September 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alexa W1 contributionSeriously if you’re staying anywhere near this place, GO - and ask for Dale! We’re staying is downtown Asheville and made the drive up to the farm. The drive was gorgeous for starters. Dale was wonderful, super supportive and friendly! He made us feel very comfortable and able to ask questions. I’m sad we won’t have him to instruct us back in Atlanta!Written March 26, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Amy C38 contributionsVery well stocked with top-notch hiking and camping supplies! The real gem is Wayne, the owner. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge and is very customer focused. He spent significant time with me to get just the right pair of hiking boots for my needs and feet. Our "go to" store for hiking needs.Written November 26, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kelli3789Huntingdon, TN14 contributionsWe had an in cabin couple massage for our anniversary in Clyde, NC....Leah was very professional and was happy to set us up...there were some technical difficulties with email, but we go it worked out. Leah and Martha were very friendly, and let us decide if we wanted conversation or not...my husband went to sleep on the table, lol...which tells you how relaxed he was. We would definitely use them again if ever in the area and highly recommend them.Written November 5, 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I would highly recommend this small husband/wife company, which is right in downtown Hot Springs. Rocky our guide was the best!Written July 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
