- Try2EnjlifeOrlando, FL202 contributionsNice short little hike. The history of the rocks are very interesting. The hike is a bit slippery in so areas. Recommend shoes with good tread. The look is about a half mile.

- Arline ZatzMetuchen, NJ815 contributionsMy first stop was at the Visitor Building where I learned a lot about this nonprofit 100 acres Conservation Center holding more than 80 rare, threatened, endangered animal species. A guide took our group around while explainting that the sanctuary cares and releases injured, orphaned, ill and displaced wildlife. Here, we saw species unknown to us and some seen in zoos - but it was exciting when our guide stopped to feed a couple of animals and where we saw huge lions. I didn't care for the cages; some with heavy bars which although didn't make for good photo-taking, but did let us see the particular animals very well. If you go, wear comfortable walking shoes, do bring a camera, and ask questions. It's a great place for kids and all ages. I don't think you're allowed to roam on your own and may need a guide.Written October 22, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rushell6516 contributionsI have lived within three miles of this park for four years and had no idea it existed. My son and I usually head to Reedy Creek Park for nature walking but sometimes it’s a headache to get there. We found Ribbon Walk and were pleasantly surprised. It’s rather small compared to other parks in Mecklenburg county but you can get a decent walk in here. Part of one of the trails we were on was essentially washed out and we had to improvise a crossing but we all made it and had fun doing it. The parking area is small and I could see it getting crowded on a nice weekend, but it did have a portable toilet to use if needed. For being in the middle of the ‘burbs this is a decent park to get away too.Written April 18, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
