I don't often visit science/children's museums, but I went to Discovery Place Science in Charlotte with my husband and sister-in-law (a teen) and we all had a lot of fun. I wanted to go specifically for the Ultimate Dinosaurs traveling exhibit, but the rest of the exhibits did not disappoint. Admission is a little pricey and costs even more at the door, so purchase your tickets online if possible. There is a lot of fun stuff to do, and I promise everyone will have a good time!

Great children's library. The books are displayed in a way that encourages young readers to pick one up and look through the pages. The computers have some great learning experiences available for all ages. Lots of little activities for all ages that can be done independently. Free. Must visit!

The puppet show and planetarium were nice. The planetarium was definitely a plus. A short program but had useful information

We weren't sure what to expect given that it is a children's theater. We went to see Shrek the Musical. And we were amazed at the quality of the production. There were multiple guild-level actors, the show was accompanied by actual musicians, the sets were excellent. It felt like we were at an off-broadway show, not a children's theater. We were so so impressed. The theater itself was comfortable and we appreciated the presence of a 'crying room'. Cause we have two year old twins.
