What travelers are saying
- Cindy BNorth East, MD12 contributionsWe intentionally searched for a tour like this and was surprised to find Rosedale so close to the city. We had a nice time strolling the grounds before we toured the house. It was interesting to hear about the families that lived there. What made the visit was we were able to speak to the groundskeeper as soon as we got there and she gave us a lot of background on the place. She was very passionate about her job, you could tell she loved it. Once we toured the house we found the same with our tour guide. You could tell she loved her job and she knew so much about the house and the history.Written October 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Worth a look.Written February 28, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Chrisinkingwood2Houston, TX5,714 contributionsThis cemetery is just across the road from Providence Presbyterian Church. The cemetery has many old graves and markers, the oldest is dated 1764! It is a nice cemetery to walk in and see the many old grave stones from current time to over 200 years ago.
There is a unmarked grave for a Revolutionary War soldier here, a plaque commerting him is on the north gate as you enter.
The cemetery is well maintained and is fairly easy to walk in but probably not good for anyone in a wheelchair or with mobility issues. There is no restroom available.Written January 14, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
