- rpears144Sardinia, OH72 contributionsThis place is a bit hidden from the parking lot but what a find!! First time here and was blown away by the unique twist on breakfast favorites like stuffed French toast and breakfast burrito. Wait staff were friendly. Dining area and bathrooms were very clean. Highly recommend and will be back next time we are in town.Written August 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - A Denver Golfer1 contributionI made a last minute decision to take a lesson, and spent 90 minutes with Stewart. After several dozen lessons over the years I finally found a PGA instructor who knows his stuff. Stewart didn't mess around and got into the issues of my swing immediately. By the end of the 90 minutes with "some" tweaking and changes to my setup and swing, I was hitting the driver better than I ever have. Maybe not a perfect swing, since we all want perfect, but well enough to hit the ball straighter and longer than I have in a long time. And with enough confidence now to manage and improve on my swing flaws with practice. If I lived in the Charlotte area I would visit Stewart at least once a month. The lesson was fun, informative and productive. Thanks Stewart!!! - MarkWritten June 10, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DominiqueLos Angeles, CA375 contributionsI had an absolutely wonderful experience during the cooking class at Sur La Table! The atmosphere was inviting and inspiring. The instructor (Sonia) was knowledgeable, patient, and made the class enjoyable for cooks of all skill levels.
The recipes we learned hands-on were both creative and approachable, with ingredients that are easy to find and techniques that I can’t wait to replicate at home. The highlight was definitely tasting the final creations. Which was SO delicious!!
If you’re looking for a fun, interactive way to improve your cooking or simply enjoy an evening out, I highly recommend taking a class at Sur La Table. It’s an experience worth savoring!Written December 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This is the closest range to me.
After sitting through a long safety video and handing over my ID, I was assigned a lane and allowed to shoot. I asked for a box of 9mm ammunition - but was given a box of .40S&W instead. Okay, one mistake doesn't make a bad range. The actual range is clean and well lit. A few minutes into shooting, the woman beside me drops her pistol across the firing line - I'm not sure how this happened, I guess she was inexperienced. But instead of calling cold, she grabs a broom and tries to sweep it back across the firing line (while this gun is loaded, on the ground, and pointed at me). Where is the range safety officer? It seems this woman was an absolutely firearms safety amateur, and had made it back here with no instruction.
For some reason, the range (both floors) seems to be overcrowded, even though other ranges I've been to in Charlotte are usually not very busy. I notice most people signing in have said they haven't shot here before - I'm starting to speculate that they haven't shot at all. There's alot of advertising for this place on social media and groupon for first time shooting packages - and I think that's the only people who come here.
On my way out the door, I grab another box of 9mm from the retail half of the store. Later when I get home, I notice that the primers are rusted. This box of ammunition was manufactured in 2014. By this point I start piecing together that this isn't actually a store for gun-owners, but only a store for people who want to shoot a gun for the first time. They should relabel themselves as a "shooting gallery", because they don't appear to be interested in supporting the shooting community.
The last thing I looked at was the reloading supplies. I reload .44 magnum.
Magnum pistol primers - sold out.
.44 bullets - sold out.
The canisters of powder look to be about 10 years old. There's two copies of Hornady's reloading handbook with yellow'd pages. I ask if they have any .44 bullets in the back (what I actually need), only to be told that they haven't ordered anymore stock for reloading supplies in a long time.
If you've never shot a gun, and aren't concerned about being in a room of gun-wielding amateurs, you can probably get a great coupon off of social media to come shoot here. If you actually own a gun, stay away.Written January 21, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This is an excellent alternative if you'd like a gathering of a small group of family and friends. Or you are looking to avoid a loud party - especially for us introverts. Paint supplies, aprons, and a canvas with an outline of a painting are provided. I recommend eating beforehand. You can bring your own beverage and there are beverages (including alcoholic beverages) and snacks onsite available for purchase. The setting is comfortable. You can bring a music playlist or request a specific streaming station be played while painting. The hosts are very friendly and professional and they provide great guidance and recommendations throughout the painting process. They will assist you with painting if asked. Several members of our group received help with painting face and hair details on their paintings. Overall, this was a pleasant way to celebrate a birthday and several family members have hinted they want the same for their birthday and Mother's Day!Written March 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sher P3 contributionsWe went as a group of friends and had a great time. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. They were helpful in suggesting colors, ideas and what brushes to use etc etc. 2 of us painted pottery and the rest did a canvas picture. We will definitely be going back. It's was overall a relaxing time and our pieces turned out better than expected.Written May 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MaryAnn HCharlotte, NC46 contributionsThere is a difference between Al Dente pasta and tough pasta. Flour Power does not know the difference. Both entrees at our table were Goodyear Rubber tough. The menu is limited to very heavy appetizers and main entrees. No salads no lighter fair. The food was flavorful but lacked good preparation. Raw vs rare, cooked through vs over cooked. May have just been a bad night for the kitchen. Staff was friendly. Over priced for what we got.Written June 22, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sylvia M55 contributionsI visited the location for a bachelorette gathering and it was great. The teacher was fun and interactive with the group. You bring your own wine or adult beverage of your choice. I would return when visiting the area again.Written September 6, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SchatzeChicago, IL225 contributionsThis was a fun class my mom, dad, sister and brother-in-law took. I say "girly" because males may feel awkward or weird here, since it's basically geared toward women. We got there early and the staff didn't seem to know what to do with us, and were a bit short with us. I asked if I could at least smell the different scents (there are LOTS) and they seemed confused and said no. We left to get coffee while we waited for them to be ready.
The class itself seemed pretty quick, and very easy. We were able to buy champagne and OJ. You have to return the next day to pick up the candles since they have to set. All in all, an interesting and fun experience but I think I would prefer to go someplace that seems to have their process nailed down.Written March 18, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BFM3010Charlotte, NC19 contributionsThis is another hidden gem in Charlotte NC.
At this wonderful shop , My wife and I purchased a Baby Lock Ovation Serger and have also attended many workshops,.
Here you can find all of the top Sewing machine and Serger brands but most importantly you will find the small shop care and experience that many of us still long for in this age of "drive through & on line consumerism " and for me this is the reason we should always strive to shop local first.

- JDBScottsdale, AZ5,014 contributionsExcellent place to try something new. Perfect for a date setting, or simply learning something new.
They offer a variety of dance styles from ballroom to salsa. Instructors are very experienced and friendly. Nice venue. Big, open areas with kitchens so you could also host events/parties.
We took a salsa dance class, and loved it. They also host weekly events for certain styles of dance. We will be returning here, and highly recommend it.Written January 11, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
