- Mark-in-NCMooresville, NC288 contributionsThe Cotton Room is dialed into the cocktail scene. They are constantly updating their drink list, bringing in guest bartenders and generally making sure their guests have a unique experience.
Has a "speakeasy" feel when you climb the stairs and come inside the cozy space.Written January 17, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sena SCharlotte, NC40 contributionsThere are honestly so many better hookah places in Charlotte. I've been to all in Charlotte, and this was honestly the most disappointing. As someone who is actually from Istanbul, I was excited to go to Istanbul Cafe, mainly because of the name, plus I kind of had high expectations since it's in uptown. But no. The four of us went on a Saturday night, and sure I was expecting it to be packed, but after waiting for 30 minutes in the smallest waiting room I've ever been in, we were escorted upstairs to a tiny room smaller than my own bedroom. Everyone was sitting next to each other and there wasn't even enough space for anybody. Half of my butt was on the couch. The hookah was disappointing. One hookah and 2 redbulls turned out to be $30 bucks. Like are you serious? No other hookah bar in Charlotte jacks up the prices that much. It was incredibly dark, crowded, everybody was squished, the hookah wasn't even that great for the price they charged. I mean the whole room everybody was squeezed in was basically like a hallway. I think there is a part of it that's in renovation? Regardless, my experience was disappointing, but I suggest you check it out for yourself, maybe you'll like it compared to all the other hookah bars around. Maybe? Just make sure someone else is paying because that hookah is not worth the price.Written March 28, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
