A nice little, small-town museum. Has a decent display on Blackbeard and Queen Anne's Revenge artifacts among their collection. Good for an hour or two visit, maybe longer depending on your interest. Free admission, relies on donations. Be generous.

We took a sunset cruise on our first full day in Beaufort with Captain Ron and were able to see wild horses on the Rachel Carson Reserve, as well as birds and dolphins. Due to my physical limitations, we were unable to actually hike in the reserve, but it is accessible by boat from Front Street, Beaufort.

I have visited before and love the history. Very shaded and gives a chance to get out of the sun. Couldn’t get the app to work on Apple but plenty of brochures to explain some of the most interesting graves.

I didn't tour the historic site, but I did take their 45 minute + historic tour on their London DoubleDecker bus. We sat on top in the open air (important during Covid pandemic!) and had a very enjoyable presentation of facts as we drove up and down the streets of historic Beaufort.

Wonderful trip. Stayed at Beaufort Inn just across the street for the Ferry’s that take you to Shackleford Banks and Cape Lookout to name the more popular routes. Saw many of the wild horses that roam Shackleford Banks. If You are into shelling , there are literally thousand of shells to keep you busy looking for that collectable.
Main Street in Beaufort has many nice shops and Restaurants. Be wary that many are closed Monday-Wednesday/ Thursday so call ahead.
We gave the Beaufort Inn a 4.5 for cleanliness, location and friendliness of staff. No complaints
    Enjoy your stay

We enjoyed a mid Saturday morning stroll through the farmers market. We found lots of wonderful, locally made products and artists. Everyone was extremely friendly. This was everything and more that we could have hoped for out of a southern farmers market.

Who knew this was the oldest house in Beaufort. Easy to find on Hammock Lane, one block off of Front St. I liked quite a few other houses better, but a good walk from downtown to check it out.

Mill Whistle is a bit off the beaten path but worth the stop. They mostly specialize in sour beer but what's really nice is that they also have a bunch of taps from Crystal Coast brewing in case you aren't a big fan of sour beer.

Nice brewery right in downtown Beaufort. Plenty of places to sit inside and outside while enjoying great beer with your friends. Staff was very friendly and informative to my questions.

I did a flight to sample a bunch of beers. The hardest part was deciding on what to try because there are so many good choices. The beers are always changing through out the year. If you visit now, I really enjoyed "goes down easy" and "wade shore".

We went here and spoke to a ranger regarding things to do and places to go during our day visit. I highly recommend it since some "information centers" steer tourists towards certain destinations. Bathrooms were clean here too.

This shop was out of the way, wasn't organized well and didn't have much of interest. It was very warm in the shop.

I don’t know which I enjoyed more today: getting to know Betsy, learning Beaufort’s fascinating history from her, or pedaling around this charming town. It was so enjoyable, and Betsy was so knowledgeable, that I’m going to make a point of coming back again. Highly recommend. If the description sounds interesting to you, seriously, don’t miss it.

Highly recommend!! Captain Rob and his crew are just great!! They not only had us sailing to one of the most gorgeous spots on the east Coast, they also gave us interesting background and historical info and lunch, too!

A very nice, smooth ride with lots of scenic views, including horses on an isolated island. Cool breezes and good overeview of the Beaufort coastline. Senior prices.
