- Global61421210 contributionsWe visited this wonderful sanctuary today. We enjoyed meeting the animals on their own terms and learning about their backstories and how they came to live at the sanctuary.
The educational aspect about the horrors of the meat industry and other animal exploitations is a very important aspect of the sanctuary. People who love animals should be exposed to the truth so that they can make informed decisions.

- Amy D3 contributionsA not-to-be missed outdoor sculpture garden, a masterpiece. A short film describes the life of Harvey Fite, artist and professor. - ejplumClarks Summit, PA442 contributionsIt was like walking back in time. My husband and I thought that the museum only dealt with the Woodstock music festival, but the whole decade of the 1960's was covered! There was information galore presented in a variety of ways - writing, pictures, videos, objects from the era. We didn't take a guided tour, but it took us about 3 hours to cover everything. I recommend it.Written November 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Amy R1 contributionI shall only remark that if the village of Saugerties, with all it's natural splendor finds itself at such a loss of imagination, that those in elected office hath christened it "falling waters"rather than "water fall" then there in lies the heart of the matter.

The road to the upper park is hidden and I wouldn't have found it without following another yoga student.Written August 1, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Carol Ann JGermantown, NY3,040 contributionsThis is a lovely wooded area to hike near the Esopus. It has a few short trails that loop around. Take a photo of the map at the kiosk on Shady Lane before going because some areas are marked better than others. Most of the trails are easy to moderate in difficulty. This is a nice spot tucked away in Saugerties. There is very limited parking off Shady Lane.Written August 9, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- margchalCoxsackie, NY6 contributionsI love antiquing and found this store by chance . - Hudson_River_FoodieSAUGERTIES111 contributionsThe farmers market is just a block or two from the rest of the very walkable village of Saugerties.
It is worth stopping by and checking out the local farm products, local wines, and crafts. You can usually get hot food and there is usually some good local talent playing right near the sitting area.Written December 11, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. EVERYTHING from the instruction class, condition and serviceability of the boat to Capt, Connor's approach to the renter was FIRST Class. The class was on time and very relaxed. Even if you are an experienced boat operator the insight to the river and its hazards and personality was amazing and made me feel well able to handle the river and the boat on my own. The boat was clean , fueled and ready to go on time. All required gear was present and the mechanical condition was excellent. We cruised for several hours without so much as a hiccup. The river that day was kind of choppy and getting back into the inlet was challenging. But between Casey and Cap'n Con they had prepared me in the class and follow up conversations with all the things I needed to manage the boat and the river safely for my family and their boat.
If you have any marine needs from buying to maintaining or just renting I highly recommend you go see Cap'n Con and crew at Saugerties marina they wont let you down and you will not be disappointed.Written May 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is physically located in the little hamlet of Malden. From 9W look for Main Street in Malden and I think it is the third left, there are some signs if I remember correctly for a bicycle route.
This little park has some great views of the Hudson River. The park has a boat launch with concrete ramp and dock, picnic tables and is right on the water. As we left a tourist sight seeing boat from NYC was heading up river. Years ago when the port of Albany was busy one could see ocean going vessels making their way up and down the river.
Great place for a picnic or to relax to the sounds of the water.Written November 2, 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
