To be honest it was the most interesting activity during all we have made at Sal island. Still nothing so spectacular but because of history of this place something you can try. 5 eur for entrance, 1 eur for 30 seconds shower, changing room and toilet for free.

We visited twice during our two week stay at the Riu Palace hotel which is only a 10-15 walk away. Really informative talk and was saw around a hundred baby turtles in total, amazing experience and a great companion to our night turtle walk to see a female loggerhead nest on the beach 🐢

Visited as part of the postcards of Sal island tour with TUI, it was a cloudy day when we visited but we were lucky enough to see this natural occurrence when the sun came through, it was amazing and worth the short wait bit hairy getting down to see it as you sit on rocks around the hole - not sure we would be allowed to do it in the UK,

We were lucky enough to see two turtles swimming in the water at the side of the blue eye as well which was a bonus! .
    .would recommend

It’s definitely worth a trip! We did see sharks even though we refused to take a tour guide. But we watched tour guides in the water not feeding sharks but just holding dead fish in the water, teasing the sharks to catch it and then pulling it out of the water again ..
if you take a taxi from Santa Maria it’s about 30-40€ to go to shark bay and back and the driver will wait for you. So no need to book a trip which is way more expensive.
You can rent shoes there or bring your own, in the water are lots of sharp rocks.
The toilet is basically not usable or at least really disgusting.
You can also buy drinks at a bar.
We spend about 40 minutes there.

Wonderful beach to walk on, paddle or swim or watch kite surfers. Very quiet. One bar at near the beach entrance otherwise bring your own refreshments

Lovely Church on the main street between taxis and beach. WE would ordinarily go in but it was Sunday morning when we visited and people were gathered around as there clearly was a Service.

My tour of the island stopped here; for a small fee you can go to the salt pan and swim/float around. I wore my bathing suit under my clothes; bring a towel. It's cool to feel yourself floating in the water, almost whether you wan to or not. The salt stays on you, leaving my suit with a fine layer of grit. It's a good experience suitable for people of most ages. Afterwards you can walk up a dirt "path" to the top of the mine and have a great view of the salt pans on one side and the desert on the other.

It is not so long pier as for example in Sopot in Poland but still interesting to see. If you are lucky you can meet here local fishermen selling fish.

My upbringing leaves me unable to pass a church and I am glad I stopped. It is a peaceful building that appears to have diverse uses for the general community in both gatherings and education

    Great experience....went with family.
Dress code smart , it's okay for gent to wear short.
Entering requirement: everyone must take one form of id otherwise you won't be able access the casino

We where greeted by 2 customer services ladies at the front desk.. explain how things work inside.

10 euro was given to us as welcome gift and 10 euro to enter into the casino

    Staff :friendly and polite

One tip ....have a limit set before you go as you can easily get carried away...

It's not that busy we went around 9am....

If you have nothing to do then it's worth going one night..

Casino is located near the hilton Hotel

Supposed to make you younger when you partake! Great experience, don't need arms to float. Hard to touch the bottom. New experience.

Lovely beach shack restaurant over looking the sea. We both had 2 different salads and both were lovely. Reasonably priced and nice clean toilets.
