What travelers are saying
- Michael L.2 contributionsMy team was in Ethiopia to shoot photos and video for an educational material. Mas organized a four day package of places to see and people to visit in and around Bahir Dar. We certainly got what we came for and Mas gave us a lot of insight - and a lot of fun. I strongly recommend to let Mas organize your stay.Written April 3, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- pmgraefenHamburg, Germany3 contributionsWe (a group of 5) travelled to Bahir Dar and visited both Lake Tana and the Blue Nile Falls through half-day trips with Bravo Ethiopia. Also thanks to Addis, we spent a few amazing days at the lake - everything was well organized. Addis was warm and welcoming, attentive to our wishes, and gave interesting background information throughout both tours. Communication before and during the trip was excellent. Many thanks again and highly recommended!Written February 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Cindy H1 contributionI did the Half Day Nile Tour as well as many other activities in the Bahir Dar area. Daniel is and excellent guide. I have had the pleasure of working with Daniel on 3 different trips. He is knowledgeable, very friendly and easy going. I will not hesitate to use Daniel's services in the future...I look forward to it!Written March 4, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ivan C1 contributionMy friend alvaro and I, we had an amazing experience with abreham, his friends and family. We visited the simien mountains where we saw many monkeys, birds and many other animals. We also visit the lake in Bahar dar where we visit some islands and the churches. We sail around the lake and we stand so close to a hipo family. I’m pretty sure that the best part of the tour was spending our time with Abreham!
I wish you could enjoy your time with him because he can show you a different view of ethiopiaWritten March 8, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Mikołaj DCopenhagen, Denmark9 contributionsAddis helped us to organize trip to Blue Nile Falls and tour on the Tana lake during our short stay in Bahir Dar. He did it in very short time and for very good price. He listens and tries to find the best option for any request. Strongly recommend!Written December 25, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Susi, Germany1 contributionwe booked a wonderful tour at Nati's tour agency. hiking in the simien national park and then 2 exciting days in the danakil desert. an unforgettable, exciting journey, not least thanks to the attentive, helpful and very friendly travel guides. it's just a shame that there was so much plastic waste lying around on the edge of the volcanic crater of Erta Ale. it's a shame that the tourists there just leave their plastic waste there so thoughtlessly. we hope local guides will get a better handle on this problem soon. nevertheless we felt very well looked after over the entire travel time. we really enjoyed the trip with Nati's tour agency and wish this young team all the best and continued success.Written February 15, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- tarad5 contributionsBooked a last minute boat tour around lake Tana. Booked on my own so had the boat to myself. Reliable boat and nice captain. Saw two monasteries with a great local guide (which was included in the cost). He had a university degree in tourism and was really professional and nice. I enjoyed his tour. The paintings in the monetaries were amazing. Then went to the Blue Nile bassin and saw eagles, hippos, and lots of other birds. Felt relaxed and enjoyed my tour!Written February 22, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- HRL1 contributionJetlie arranged a boat from Bahir Dar to Lake Tana monasteries and then on to Gorgora. The lake and environs are beautiful & culturally rich. And Jetlie was an excellent guide: knowledgeable but easy-going & always helpful but not obtrusive. Highly recommended.Written February 8, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- A.G.1 contributionActivity: private transfer from Bahir Dar to Gondar
Negative:
- driver asked for more money because he dropped me of not at the city centre but at my hostel which was a nasty move because:
a.) this was agreed with Tesfaye (who runs this company)
b.) it was only a 200m detour but way before the centre (aka shorter anway)
c.) the guy had to ask for directions even on the way to Gondar and then we had to guide him in Gondar by using our google maps
When he asked for more money I demanded him to call Tesfaye.. he stared at me blankly and after a minute and me repeating myself he moved back in the car.
- I asked Tesfaye if we could leave earlier the next day. 10am was the time he told me before but he arrived at 8:05am and then stressing me to get ready. Positive in one way at least ...
Positive:
- The car was super comfy, we were only two passengers in a Toyota Landcruiser kind of car. Definitely worth spending that couple of Euros more over going with public transport!
- Tesfaye was a nice guy and was easy to communicate in English withWritten February 23, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - RobertNew Germany, Canada5 contributionsThe one who arrange the trip in bahridar he is name is Abel.
