Really pretty lake and nice little town to spend an afternoon. We were surprised to see how many people there were here and all the bikes! We stumbled into the bike rally to kick off summer and really liked seeing all the bikes.

Great trip. We arrived at approximately 1 pm and made our way to the entrance of the trail. The trail was short, but very steep in certain parts and contained a lot of stairs. We saw several people have to stop and rest halfway through the trail due to how steep the trail was. However, the view at the top was absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking and well worth the hike. The peak of the mountain made for an amazing photo opportunity with the water in the background. A little further down the trail, was an old cable railway, which was historically significant to the area. Along the drive back down, was a stop that provided for another great photo opportunity of the area.

Tip: I recommend spending an hour here if you truly want to see everything.

On the small side. Interesting if you are into this kind of stuff. Views of the lake when you climb to the top.

What a beautiful place to get away from it all! It is clear that you are staying in someone's home that has been lovingly cared for, not a for-profit rental. The mattresses were so comfy, Theresa was a fabulous communicator and the cabin and setting was incredible. Definitely off the beaten trail with some rough roads and 4-wheel drive recommended in the winter. The location is right next to the state park land which provided access to the easiest hike (Shelving Rock Falls) and a moderate hike for our young family of five (Shelving Rock Mountain). Checkout AllTrails and use the free trial for fabulous tracking reviews, and suggestions. A 30-minute drive to Lake George Village if needed. Everything was meticulously labeled to take the guessing out. The fire place and fire pit were a hit and the kids love the hot tub. Not a single TV was turned on the whole time. Playroom downstairs was a delightful retreat and the loft was beyond gorgeous with Theresa's own paintings. My wife commented who it was clear they bought "nice things" from the mattresses, to the towels, blankets, and furniture. What a great opportunity to get away from it all (including cell service unless you want to access wifi calling)

I highly recommend this winery , by far the best service I have received in a long time from an establishment. Amber & Chris are an amazing duo to work together and so very professional and welcoming. Amber even Took the time to help me With my parking meter . Which is probably the only negative , which has nothing to do with the business. But , the parking is very limited and the meters are not reliable. Over all , I recommend this place for a wine tasting experience . Everything was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back !

We took a short trip for my birthday after the summer ended in early September. It was a week after schools opened. There was nothing much to do. Most restaurants were closed so we decided to go for a hike. We underestimated the trail. We spent about 6 hours hiking up to the top. There were a lot of bubbles and rocks near the top. We almost gave up but we didn't. Once we get to the top, all our sweat disappeared. The view is worth every sweat!

We jogged along the path from Lake George going north and turned around at Dino Roar Valley. The path was tranquil (at 7:30am) and very beautiful, surrounded by fall colors. There are a few picnic areas along the way. The path itself is smooth and not too hilly and would be perfect for biking.

The day we visited was 91 degrees and very hot! The beach was crowded , as expected for a hot day, but the water was cool and refreshing. Very clear lake water, sant beach with pebbles in the actual lake. Cool to be surrounded by he maintains at the lake.

It was fun, but my seven year old was scared. Better than a regular museum. It has a surprise ending!

This was another place that we stopped in while walking around the village one evening. It is a cozy place, even in the July heat. The owners were extremely nice and knowledgeable. We were able to try out their spirits before purchasing and loved our short time here. I bought a bottle of the lemonade and apple pie flavored spirits. Def. worth a stop in here while you are in town.

We've done this hike many times over the years and it is always a great choice. It isn't too long or too strenuous. We prefer to go from the east side, but both sides end up at the top. The top area is mostly rock and offers great views of the lake and other mountains nearby.

We always hit the outlets when staying in Lake George. Like any other outlet mall, it depends on luck and availability. We usually grab a few things because there are so many stores. Lots of kid friendly places too. Something for everyone

Right on the lake. Nice place to visit and take a break while shopping. Families were taking their kayaks out from the beach area.

All stores had very limited stocks. Noting special about prices. Some stores were closed. It was a disappointment. Parking was a problem.
