We love historical tours, food tours, walking tours; this was a combination of all three and a fascinating look into a totally unique culture right in our midst.

We had done a similar tour in London a couple of weeks earlier and it was good to compare the two tours (both were excellent with tour guides who are artists and involved in the street art community).
The tour definitely inspired me to seek out other street art tours in other cities I visit in the future.

Our Turnstile Tours tour of the Navy Yard--a nifty combination of bus tour and walking tour--was led by Andrew and was so informative and insightful.
The two-hour tour is just the right length and Turnstile Tours also offers other, more specialized tours of the Navy Yard, as well.

I've taken bike tours in various US and European cities because it's the perfect way to get a sense of a city - plus you get some exercise.
We have done self-guided tours in Italy, Croatia and France, Amsterdam, and various states, but having a guide in this city was much better.

Next time I return to NYC, I am keen to do either the Made in Brooklyn Williamsburg or Red Hook tour and I believe he may be working on some new tours too in future so we will be eagerly awaiting these too.
Mix this with a visit and a glass of good red wine form the Red Hook winery at the beautiful Merchant stores building and you have the best tour that is steeped in history and the future of Red Hook.

While he admittedly has migrated his tours to a less structured approach where he literally selects pizzeria's during the tour to visit, it works.
We got blessed to have the actual man himself Scott running our tour and if his regular staff are even 1% as passionate and knowledgeable as him then it is always worth the price of admission.

I had the most amazing urban hike last Sunday - tour of Williamsburg and Dumbo with the beautiful, knowledgable, smart and fun Melissa Corrigan of Urban Adventures.
Williamsburg has changed so much, and is a great neighborhood, so it was great to be on a tour led by someone that's lived there for so long.
