Highly recommend visiting! Two huge floors of baseball memorabilia + first floor containing the hall of fame inductees and giftshop. Beautiful and well kept museum. Visited during the spring, so it wasn't crowded, but definitely recommend at least 2-3 hours to take your time seeing everything. Awesome mix of exhibits, even for those who aren't huge baseball fans.

The town of Cooperstown, NY is very quaint and old fashioned. If you are looking for other things to do in the area- there isn't much. The main street is small, but has some cafes and baseball themed shops (containing t-shirts, souvenirs, and LOTS of collectables). Doubleday Field is in walking distance of the Hall of Fame, which has historical ties to the game of baseball. There is a winery/brewery trail for the area- but some of them are pretty spread out from Cooperstown (we visited Ommegang Brewery which was about 10 minutes from town). Would definitely recommend visiting the Hall of Fame/Cooperstown for just a daytrip.

I love visiting the Farmers Museum. All the people are so friendly. Definitely talk to the curators to get a unique perspective on life in 19th century in Upper New York State. Great tip is to be around between 3 and 4 when all the animals are fed including pigs, goats and calves. Wonderful to visit when beautiful leaves are turning. Wonderful place for pictures.

Take the cruise on the Glimmerglass Queen - it's a peaceful hour and you get to see the whole lake and hear a little history of the area.

This offered a nice option to the Baseball Hall of Fame in town. It’s just a short drive from Main Street and reasonably priced for admission (you can couple admission with its sister museum across the street if you want).

The space is in a beautiful building that is as lovely as the artwork. The building offers a cafe if you need a quick bite to eat or drink. There is a little gift-shop as well.

Take the time to go out back of the building as there is a walking path that takes you down to the lake and presents great opportunities for pictures.

While my husband and I were in the area for the BHOF, we also wanted to make a point of coming to this park to enjoy the nature and scenery, as this whole region is absolutely beautiful and worth a leisurely hike. The covered bridge in particular is worth a visit. There are ponds with beautiful arboreal reflections, so try to come here in the autumn.

    Lots of history here!

We were fortunate to catch a tournament - a group that travels the country to play at historic ballparks.

Great place to experience US history. Guides were excellent! Make sure to ask many questions. There are ghosts who live here. Great place for a picnic while viewing the beautiful colors of the lake.

I came here to hear a live band the night before Jeter‘s induction. There is a food truck and the chicken barbecue sandwich with cheese and bacon was one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. The IPA was a little light for my taste but not bad overall. The red shed has a pleasant outdoorsy vibe.

Worth the short walk past the Hall of Fame and just past the start of the Susquehanna River. Small part of American history that is often forgotten.

We had a delightful hour-long ride on the beautiful lake adjoining Cooperstown on a summer Sunday afternoon. The trip was so smooth and the crew was pleasant and helpful. It was a wonderful way to learn more about the area and relax near the end of a trip to the area. Rates were reasonable. We would do this again.

Was indoors, spread out for Covid it seemed. Only about 6 or 7 vendors this day 9/14/21. Vendors were friendly and helpful.

One of the better ghost tours we’ve been on. The host, Nate, was knowledgeable and personable. We really enjoyed the stories he told.

Great place to purchase local ... fun gifts, beautiful leather selection (thanks for recommending the travel bag for which I've been searching for several years!). The staff are very knowledgeable and very friendly. Fun place to browse for a thank you gift or just a surprise for yourself. Will be stopping by every time we are in Cooperstown.
