The Factory Outlet store was located down an alley off Main Street that lead to Doubleday Field. There was some overlap of items found in many stores on Main Street, but this outlet(?) seem to have a lot more dated clothes mixed in with their regular offerrings.

Fun to look and purchase juried art work. I have gone to their shows for years. Always a rare enjoyable experience in this rather minimal choices of quality places to go in Cooperstown.

The art exhibit was very interesting ! There were many exhibits to look at with much creative talent behind each piece of work. The building itself is very interesting to look at . We were quite pleased.

Artists Off Main is a great place to see wonderfully created artisan goods. The "inventory" changes now and then, so it's never the same place twice. Beautiful jewelry, fun and eclectic goods, but standards like beautiful oils and watercolors as well. It's always fun to browse...the store is small, but it truly is a gem in a baseball oriented town.

The personal service is outstanding. To have them take the time to talk and discuss your needs is noteworthy.
The craftsmanship is wonderful and the way they make the personalized bats is cool.
The history of the business is inspiring and the amount of personal time and effort in making the business run smoothly is tremendous.

Great place to purchase local ... fun gifts, beautiful leather selection (thanks for recommending the travel bag for which I've been searching for several years!). The staff are very knowledgeable and very friendly. Fun place to browse for a thank you gift or just a surprise for yourself. Will be stopping by every time we are in Cooperstown.

Main Street in Cooperstown is loaded with baseball memorabilia shops of all kinds. Many sell the same kinds of goods. That said, I was stopped cold by the bargain bin at Yaz Sports and literally spent 2 hours loading up on great cards. Awesome selection. Very affordable. Tons of fun.

This is an adorable stir filled with handmade items. I found the prettiest suncatcher for my mom, who was watching my cats. I also bought a cute painted shell, just because. 😄

There are shelves to the ceiling in a maze like set of rooms which can best be described as the alternative to your average sanitized Barnes & Noble.

I love this shop & always tru to make a purchase or two to support this wonderful small bookseller. Don’t be afraid to ask! There’s lots of material here and you may need locating a title. The staff are friendly & helpful.

If you're looking for a cute gift for a friend, jewelry, very cute and classy baseball attire and gifts then this is the place to go! This gift shop has Alex and Ani bracelets, mantra bands, beautiful earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, along with very cute baseball jewelry, cups, wine glasses, shirts, bags etc. This gift shop even has Christmas ornaments! If and when in Cooperstown, you definitely need to check this shop out. Owned by a very genuine and caring local couple that have deep roots in the Cooperstown Community.

We were recently in Cooperstown and purchased a NY Yankees Classic fitted baseball cap as a gift for our son. The sales lady was extremely helpful. When we returned home (5 hours away) the hat was too large for our son’s head. We called F R Woods and they said to send the hat back with his head size and they would send a replacement hat. Within 10 days we received the replacement hat with a very nice note from the shop. The hat fit our son perfectly!! We were very pleased that they were so willing to exchange the hat through the mail. We highly recommend stopping in at F R Woods House of Pro Sports on Main Street in Cooperstown. They have an excellent selection and an outstanding return policy!!!

The store's staff was welcoming and inviting! There is varied merchandise and I took my time looking at everything. The alpaca sweaters and socks were especially nice and I bought one of the sweaters and three pairs of socks. The baseball shirts are a must have and I also purchased one for my uncle. I truly had a good experience in the store and am recommending it to all of my friends!! It is a must see!!!!

I never conceived of how popular the antiques business was until my wife became enamored with searching for sterling silver napkin ring holders. She has accumulated quite a collection, more than 50, but they are becoming harder and harder to find. So whenever we are on the road, wherever we are, we look for antique stores. We have found that you never know what you'll find if you keep looking, even in the most remote or strangest places. On our recent visit to Cooperstown, New York, for example, we were alerted to several antique stores in nearby Springfield Center. Well, we didn't find any sterling silver napkin ring holders. But we discovered some fascinating items at Glimmerglass Arts and Antiques at 7687 New York Highway 80, 10 miles north of Cooperstown and two miles from Glimmerglass Opera and Otsego Lake. Located in a restored Victorian home with three spacious showrooms, it is an antique and collectible arts store that is filled with quality antiques, fine artwork, quality furniture, pottery, glassware, jewelry, linens, vintage clothing and lighting fixtures. Sue and Phil Goettel opened Glimmerglass in 2001 with the goal of creating an inviting store featuring vintage collectibles and antiques from America and around the world. Sue grew up in Cooperstown and lived for five years in England, all of which cemented her interest in the antiques business. The Goettels have put a lot of time and effort and expense into their enterprise and it shows from the minute you walk in the front door, demonstrating once again that there is more to do and more to see in the Cooperstown area than just the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
