- Gwen W1 contributionWe were traveling back from Niagara Falls to New Jersey and decided to stop halfway in Binghamton. We looked online to see what’s best to do in this quaint city and this tour was the number one recommended thing, and now I understand why. Our tour guide Helen knew everything and anything about the mansion, it’s past owners, the history of the woman’s club, and the city’s founding. She was warm and welcoming and answered every question we had. If you are looking for something to do that’s inexpensive, not time consuming, and educational, I would highly recommend touring this museum. The inside is something straight from the Gilded Age and the tour guides available are amazing!Written March 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Manda B3 contributionsWe go to The Discovery Center several times a year- my kids (2 and 4) love it! There are so many hands on areas for children- our favorites are the supermarket and fire truck.Written March 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Annette ZCharlotte, NC4 contributionsMe and family would always go to Otsiningo park whenever it was nice out, and whenever they would have events like which scarecrow was the best, the lights show, fireworks, and they would also have hot air balloons. It has a pond where the geese are, it has a playground and a big field where you can play sports. One thing I liked the most was walking. With the walking the paths are long so you can enjoy the outdoors longer. AnnetteWritten May 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marty FValencia, California92 contributionsWell worth a visit - be sure to pay the fee to get a guided tour. You first spend time visiting the inside of the Bundy house. Next you go to the annex, where you can visit the historic barber shop display, the museum of time clocks (the predecessor company of IBM got it's start here making time clicks), and finally the Rod Serling Twilight Zone gallery. Binghamton is Serling's home town, and this display goes into detail about Serling as well as the Twilight Zone. I highly recommend taking friends and family to the Bundy Museum!Written October 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lisa GAndover, MA141 contributionsWe visited specifically for the Home for the Holidays exhibits - but enjoyed several other exhibits as well! I have not visited the Roberson Center since the 1970s, when my parents would take us to see the Christmas trees in the mansion. In those days, it was so crowded that there was a single file line to go from room to room. Now, the trees have outgrown the mansion and many sponsored trees are in the museum. Many were highly creative, and all were beautiful. The mansion was decorated to the hilt, just as I remembered, and is just a stunning backdrop of its own with the stained glass windows and built-in cabinetry with elaborate carving and leaded glass. Several rooms were very creative - a Harry Potter themed room, an exhibit of dress-maker mannequins with Christmas tree skirts in the sewing room, and an exhibit in the parlor that used at least twenty taxidermy pheasants posed to look like they were making mischief with gift-wrapping. There were live musicians in the mansion foyer, as well. The hall in front of the exhibit halls also had Christmas displays for the many immigrant traditions in the Southern Tier.
We also saw the Cats exhibit - very creative, the Memories of Braided Lives exhibit that included at least twenty gorgeous quilts plus other handmade textiles, a photography exhibit in a side hallway, and the Naturetrek (making extensive use of the museum's taxidermy collection). There were at least four or five other exhibits we didn't see.
All of this for an $8 ticket per person. A bargain.Written December 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are not too many kids in this world these days they get to ride carousels like they did in the old days.Written November 23, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 627jrhNorth Carolina112 contributionsNYSEG Stadium hosts the Binghamton Rumble Ponies AA Baseball team. Please note that seats along the 1st and 3rd base lines close to the dugouts do not have screens. You have to keep your head on a swivel - if you are on 1st base side wild throws from 3rd base and shortstop can easily nail you. Good side of that is you are close to the action. Concessions were plentiful and service was very good.Written September 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Janessa1 contributionTried to be spontaneous while passing through the city for the night! Our mistake was trying to go in the winter, should have read reviews that it wasn't open at the moment. Oops! Currently it's disassembled for maintenance and I think being moved to a new location is what I heard. Would have been sweet to go for a ride :)Written February 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- K.H.MorganBinghamton, NY20 contributionsLocated a few country miles outside Binghamton. Easy U-pick apples and berries in season with a great view from the top of the orchard. Stop in to the quaint restaurant for some fantastic breakfast, lunch, fresh homemade doughnuts, breads and cookies. The home fries, homemade soups, sandwiches, and desserts are fantastic. The cider it great also. Get some hot doughnuts to go..can't stop nibbling.Written December 29, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Laura HBinghamton, NY97 contributionsBeautiful, peaceful even if it's between highways. It's like a beautiful oasis in the middle of highways. Beautiful flowers, decorations and a very interesting herb garden, next to the Taste Of NY gift store, Cornell cooperative extension and the Broome county farmers market, which are Tuesday evening and Saturday mornings. A lot of parking and easy walking trails.Written August 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- G2655BWgarykClearwater, FL676 contributionsThe Ross Park Zoo is one of the oldest Zoo in United States. They have one of the oldest Mary Go Round as well. The zoo has been restored over the years and the improvements have been done real nice. They do need to add additional animals to the park.Written February 17, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lis6al52 contributionsThere is not a bad seat in the whole theater. There are many great shows, but the bathroom lines are lengthy at intermissions as they are small and dated. Limited conscession area and the seats are decently comfortable, but do not accommodate larger sizes well.Written June 19, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DanWexford, PA11 contributionsThis was a unexpected pleasure. We stopped here on a through trip to another destination. We wanted to experience a carousel in the carousel capital of the world. Recreation park is very nice and had a great playground for our six yo to stretch and run after sitting in the car for hours. The carousel was great and gave a nice long ride. It has aged well and still operates with a smooth ride. The staff were high school or college students and were unengaged as I guess would be expected at the end of the day ear the end of summer. I would highly recommend this ride it’s fun and it’s free!Written August 18, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Petra C1 contributionWe held our small dinner wedding at the Jonas M Kilmer House, and I don't know if I love the people who work in the facility more, or the home itself.. The room they have put together for the bride is BEAUTIFUL, and the entire main floor is the most beautiful dream home... Crystal took spectacular care of me (and my chaos) and it was magic.. I cannot gush enough about the entire experience.
It's a beautiful space to visit and tour, but the ability to host a party in such a beautiful space, with such amazing staff cannot be understated!Written October 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. However....was completely surprised! The bubba burger (one pound) was cooked right as ordered - medium with bacon and etc. and came with a homemade macaroni salad all for a price of under $10.00!!! I've been to other Berger joints which caused twice as much but couldn't cook as ordered! So will definitely go back and try other items in the future.Written April 29, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
