- Dewayne VWallace, NC358 contributionsBought tickets to go from Chama to Antonita. The train is a historic treasure. The ride from Chama to Ossian is beautiful. We signed up for lunch halfway on the trip. The lunch was excellent and all you wanted. When we left Osiea you get to see the Toltec Gorge which is impressive. I would recommend going from Chama to Oseia and return to Chama. Not a lot to see when you pass Toltec Gorge on way to Antonita.Written July 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Darla M21 contributionsThis is a great place to shop for a variety of items and to top it off they have a wonderful coffee/fudge shop. The owner said that there's a lady who comes in every year and buys 4 lbs. of his fudge and she says she gives it to all her friends and family. What he didn't know is that she's the candy judge for the New Mexico State Fair! He uses only the best ingredients and hand makes all his fudge.Written August 6, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John T1 contributionBest day trout fishing in a long time! James is a complete professional and a joy to fish with. His knowledge of the river, how to fish, what to fish with, and excellent instruction made for a fantastic day on the San Juan!Written June 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mike AHolland, NY63 contributionswas at fishtail Ranch for an Elk Hunt with a good friend. Lee and Valerie are excellent hosts. All rooms seemed to be themed/ Ours was an African theme. Others were different type of wildlife themes from Elk Deer etc. Meals were excellent. 4 meals a day. From a light breakfast snack before the morning hunt to a 3 course dinner after the evening hunt. All the staff were great, from the cooks to the guides to the house cleaning staff. The only thing that could be better was to get and Elk, but we can not predict the weather which was great except for Elk huntingWritten November 8, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KenLoveland, CO924 contributionsExcept for the official Cumbres & Toltec station gift shop, this is the only gift shop in Chama that is open when train riders (who arrive at 4:30p) are actually able to visit. We bought six t-shirts at a great price. Worth a look!Written June 22, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
