What travelers are saying
- Caitlin D’AngeloNew Milford, NJ287 contributionsMy favorite aquarium. It is small, yes- but you can tell it is SO cared for and so are the animals. There is so much to see in there and it is so clean and maintained. I absolutely love visiting this aquarium and will be going again.Written September 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Denise K24 contributionsGreat boardwalk with lots of food, shopping and entertainment options. Try to plan to park aways away, as it is pricey, both to park and to get on the beach. But you can enjoy it just fine without the sand, if you like. Much cheaper. Also, includes rides for the kiddies, so families can have a good time.Written July 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ken FHigh Point, NC191 contributionsFishing at the Manasquan / Point Pleasant inlet is always a good place to spend a day. There are so many spectacular boats to watch that even if fishing is slow you can enjoy the scenery. Did catch a bunch of flounder but they were all undersized and had to go back in and grow up!
Point Lobster Company took over a bar on Rte. 35 in town and is a good place to eat dinner. The beach requires passes and they are now 13.00 for the day. Kind of a ripoff.
If you have kids the pier is a good place to take them for mini-golf, rides, and games.
Still a fun place to visit.Written July 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. People bring kids, dogs, and in-laws. This is definitely a go to spot to hang with friends for a couple of hours on a lazy afternoon (or if your other halves are shopping in this neat town)Written September 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - pfefmeisterSan Francisco, CA4,373 contributionsCute little town with three antique stores right next door to each other. This one is the largest of the three and has a varied selection of merchandise scattered over two floors. Nice helpful staff, the store is worth checking out.Written August 8, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Harper A10 contributionsI found this store about 2 years ago and I have never seen a store quite like it! They have such an amazing selection of home decor and furniture to suit current styling trends from boho to farmhouse, coastal, vintage, shabby chic. I’ve purchased so many items I’ve lost count....vintage ladder, farmhouse table, unique Easter, Fall and Christmas decor, planters, dishes, a laundry sign, salvaged windows to hang on the wall, candles...the list goes on. The store is 2 floors and every person that works there is super friendly and helpful. So much inspiration everywhere you turn!Written August 11, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Richard BKauai, HI6 contributionsThe shop owner (Tom) is a talented photographer. He has an excellent eye, especially for nature and fish photos. He’s is also a conservationist. He does a lot of CPR (Catch, photo & release) fishing. He uses mostly all reclaimed wood for framing his work or yours.
Originally met him by bringing one of my sons photos he shot on a family vacation and Tom framed it for us.Written June 10, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Justin WHasbrouck Heights, NJ6,368 contributionsI stopped in at the Point Pleasant Historical Society a small but interesting museum at the back of City Hall and was impressed by the depth and historical value of the museum. There are a lot of interesting artifacts at the museum including town businesses, history of the Police and Fire Department and artifacts, relics from the Moro and Hindenburg disasters, the Jersey Mike's original store in Point Pleasant and a lot of other items.
It does not take that long to see the museum but this little gem should not be missed if you like viewing the history and growth of a small beach community. It was a very nice visit.Written June 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The museum is a small maritime museum that has displays on boating, fishing, yachting and the history of this industry in New Jersey. It is a perfect museum for kids and for people who are interesting in New Jersey's nautical past.
It has some interesting exhibitions on WWII and the 1916 Shark Attacks as well as sailing vessels used in races. When I visited, there was a complete exhibition on boat motors. There is a little something for everyone here. What is nice is that it shares the same building with the Vintage Car Museum so you can visit two museums on one afternoon. It is a nice place to take kids when the weather is rainy.Written July 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
