Take your time and breathe in the fresh piney air!
Our only disappointment is that jerks had left their snacks (banana and orange peels) in the cave and others had tagged / left graffiti on the cave walls as well.

The complex has two amphitheatres, picnic area, education and research center, The Silent Heroes of Cold War National Memorial and Stone Plaza and more than 40 miles for hiking trails.
This just opened about a year ago and it's a wonderful new addition to the day - they have a ton of great information and the monument to the Cold War heroes is something everyone should see.

Okay, not the top of the world, but when you have been at the lowest point in NV and then up in the mountains with snow on the ground in the same day, it feels like you're on top of the world.
