What travelers are saying
- Janka KBrno, Czech Republic9,069 contributionsA nice place that's suitable with its layout and atmosphere for any stand-up comedy show. Regarding how much you enjoy the show depends only on that show and you.
I remember seeing some people receiving their orders during the stand-up comedy piece that I attended, but I wasn't sure how to place an order.Written September 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We seemed to be the designated "old people" for Brad's routine. He made jokes about us involving sponge baths and memory loss and riding on "scooters." The front row was a mixture of various types. Two men who looked very macho, like Navy Seals or something like that, a couple in which the lady had big boobs and the man was wearing shorts that weren't particularly flattering, a mixed ethnicity couple, a couple with an older man and a younger woman, an Egyptian man. You get the idea. No one seemed to take too much offense, and everyone seemed to have a good time. Just know that it's not politically correct and could be quite offensive to some.
The other comics were pretty funny. They weren't laugh out loud funny, but amusing.
Drinks are pretty expensive, but everything is in Las Vegas. The servers were pleasant and provided good service. Pop corn wasn't too good. It was in a package. Not made on the spot.
If you like comedy routines, I'd recommend it. But, be aware that Brad will make fun of anything that is unique about you. He is not politically correct. The venue didn't seem ideal. I'd recommend sitting closer to the front if you want to see him. Stay in the back if you don't want to be part of the routine.Written June 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Thankfully it’s a comedy show and not a play. It was a great lineup of comedians. Not very punctual. They do have an all-you-can-drink option.Written January 4, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- jamesaI3832SQSacramento, United States297 contributionsSaw Lunell in her last show of 2024. She did not disappoint by having fun on stage—maybe a lil too much but the jokes kept coming and were next level funny. She had a good array of opening acts. We had a hard time finding the spot because there are no real directions. You just have to walk into the Promenade until you run up on it. The Chacutetie board was decent in the club and served two well. The club brings you close up to the acts. We had a great time.Written December 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SBVegasAdventuresLas Vegas, NV308 contributionsWent to see a Jazz band on a weeknight and was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting smokey bar but I guess that's old school Vegas. The was a nice, clean event venue with a full bar available. I actually enjoyed my visit and look forward to the next Jazz night.Written July 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mnguru1Edina, MN557 contributionsWhen we come to Vegas we always want to do new things. We thought this show was a lot of fun. They had three comedians. All of them knocked it out of the park with original material. We like the Grand Hotel - which is where the show is located. Afterwards, you can stick around and get something to eat or play the slots/tables. They bring you complimentary drinks if you are playing. They make sure you are well hydrated!Written December 12, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Matt McAylesbury, UK40 contributionsPositives:
- small, intimate venue
- no drink minimum
- get discounted tickets - on the door price is $60+ (which is terrible), we got them for $30 through tix, I think you can get them for $19 on groupon
- get cheap drinks from the red bar downstairs to the right of the box office (can’t remember the name), and take them into the venue with you
Meh:
- Edwin was ok - but just ok. Some of his material was a bit old hat (stoner jokes etc)
- the other act (the compère) was actually very interesting, with a great story to tell, but just wasn’t that funny. He would make a good TED-talk, but he ain’t a great comedian
Negatives:
- even with the discount, this is very expensive, especially considering this was less than 1 hour show. Better options available elsewhere
- why make us take a picture beforehand as a momento? You’re not a theme park - it’s just tacky and smacks of desperation.Written March 21, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I'm no prude, and I do my share of swearing, but I get tired of hearing the f bomb over and over and over. He could be every bit as funny without all the swearing. That being said, I found his set entertaining and had lots of good laughs.Written March 2, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LV N1 contributionSo great!!! A night of fun and laughter which was much needed with the 1 October Anniversary being that weekend. We all laughed so much that our sides hurt the next day!! Carl Labove was fantastic, sorry it was his last show at Bally's. Glad he will be playing at Tropicana I hear. Everyone should see his show.Written October 6, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Johnny R2 contributionsWe thought the name was funny and wondered exactly was the comedy. It was stand up comedians and they were actually very funny. We were in the mall at Planet Hollywood and decided to see this show. The box office at VTheater said it was new and they didn't have any info on who was appearing so we took a chance and it came with a free drink. Comedians were funny and we had a good time. My friend had seen Kris Shaw before and he kinda stole the show with references to "BBC".Written August 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PJMontgomery, TX245 contributionsWe went there on a Sunday night and the crowd was very small. However, the opening acts were great and headliner Bob Zany was hilarious. Drinks prices were very high. We visit Vegas once a year and will stop by The D and see Jokesters again.Written December 9, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert H3 contributionsThis was a wonderful show by a seasoned professional. James was confident and comfortable. He personalized the experience and connected beautifully with members of the audience.
The magic was mystifying and varied, running the gamut from a rope trick to producing a girl! Of course the hula girl is not to be missed.Written August 10, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You can’t find that in Vegas, often. We had great seats and would recommend highly.Written December 28, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tiana B1 contributionThis was by far the best comedy show I’ve seen in a very long time. From start to finish, nothing but laughter. Can’t wait to return!
