- Tania M1 contributionThis a MUST to do with your family! I have two teenagers who absolutely loved it!!! the stuff is friendly and the entire experience was enjoyable and something we’ll be talking about for years to come.Written April 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Art CBaltimore, MD33 contributionsThe charcoal ovens are very impressive. You can touch them, walk into them and read about how they were used, why and for how long. Marvel at the how the demand for charcoal deforested the area around these ovens. See the lichen working on the stone. Take a walk on one of several trails in the area. If you are lucky, you'll see a cowboy herding black angus cattle.Written October 18, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- northbuddyMalone, NY89 contributionsA great little museum. How they got all the artifacts in such a small area is beyond me. They have some very rare pieces, including a working 1953 xray machine. No matter what your interest, there is most probably something that will catch your eye.Written October 7, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- James WHenderson, NV775 contributionsJust a short hike up the hill from either the Jailhouse Motel or the Hotel Nevada. Very nice recreation/restoration of early pioneer houses and stores. Many of the houses are dedicated to the different ethnic groups which worked in the area. Fun thing to do with the kids and lots of photo opportunities.Written June 15, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- tomseim2g8 contributionsWent for lunch. I had a chimichanga combo and my wife had a tostada side. Both were excellent and a great value. The service was excellent. They have a cooler of some terrific looking deserts, but we were stuffed. Definitely will return.Written July 10, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Elygirl4lifeEly, NV12 contributionsAs a senior citizen, for $6/person you can see new movies on the big screen. The concession stand sells wine, beer and big buckets of freshly popped popcorn with a free refill for nowhere near as expensive as the bigger city theatres who sell alcohol. Great way to spend an evening!Written January 15, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Dan LSan Francisco, CA402 contributionsYeah this is a funky old style casino with the usual games. There are some tweekers and country folk inside (both as guest and employees). But I liked the fact that it was smokefree. It is not in the same category as Resort Worlds Vegas which has lots of high minimum games and botoxed socal dudes and gals.Written July 29, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Larry RNorth Las Vegas, NV470 contributionsSign said Boot Hill Cemetery, but when we arrived it had another name. No one famous buried here. Didn't stop for more than a minute or too.Written August 13, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MmarymommPleasanton, CA1,738 contributionsThe Success Loop is partially paved and partially dirt. We are enjoying the scenery along the way especially the part through a forest of aspens. Even though it is April there are patches of snow on the ground. Uh-oh, we are gaining elevation and the patches of snow are now on the road and we have skidded twice. Then we see the road ahead is entirely covered with snow. Plus it is muddy and there is a good chance our car could get stuck. So we had to abort our drive on the Success Loop. I guess the moral of this story is be aware that conditions at higher elevation may be much different than you were expecting.Written July 1, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- No TBoston, MA76 contributionsThis was a fun and interesting (unexpected) stop. We’ll bring tools next time. I’m always glad to see a pit toilet on public lands to protect the sites for all visitors. Inexplicably, we encountered human waste and toilet tissue all over the ground in direct view (10 yds) of the toilet!? Seriously, people! Be careful where you step, and place your hands and tools. And use the pit toilet🤦🏻♀️Written November 23, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jonas HGeneva, Switzerland5 contributionsWe passed through Ely on our way to west coast. Spent the evening at this place and got to know the owner and super friendly bar staff. The place has a new karaoke set and after a few drinks this turned out to be a very fun night with all of us singing while the owner accompanied on drums. Highly recommednable place for a drinks while in Ely. The railroad memorabilia are fun as well.Written June 14, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Agalychnis C2 contributionsStardust has been my go to ranch in the Ely area for decades going back to the 1990's. It's changed hands several times sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse. Regardless I've met some great women and had some good parties. More history and actual reviews can be found at sites like ISG and 21orover but for the most part all the Nevada brothel discussion forums have died out due to the over inflation of service and trying to promote that. Clubs like the Stardust Ranch usually offer set rates around $200 for 30-60 minutes with half and half. Decent bar with new competition across the way where an older brothel has been purchased and renovated with massage options. Usually this points to an Asian or massage parlor ownership which has taken over ares like Elko NV. TIP: Don't act desparate or in any rush, since customers are often far in between it's possible to negoiate rates but remember the gals only get 50% of the total.Written February 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
