We usually visit during the Gathering but it is well worth the visit regardless. Staff are welcoming and salon is so fun. The gift shop is really nice and the small exhibit is fun especially if you find a volunteer. Parking is plentiful and Several good lunch places nearby.
An outstanding local museum. Huge amount of items on display. Definitely worth a stop. Some say 30-45 minutes suffices; we toured a full 75 minutes and enjoyed every one. We’re no fans of cowboy art but the artists featured were fantastic.
Truly a history museum.alot of poney express history as well. They have an old cabin open (fenced off so not to be disturbed) so you can see how they lived.no luxury just good life.cool Indian history too
we visited here when attending The Cowboy Poetry Festival. It is clean and appealing with appealing displays of the Cowboy Life and history. Although I thought I understood the history this reminded me of parts I had forgotten, including the story of the Bonners.
Strictly a bar atmosphere with a bar being the prominent part of the business. Small drinking tables all over the rest of the business except for the dancing floor and the band area. Great small bar atmosphere.
