Stopped here for a little slice of roadside Americana on the way out of glacier. A nice stop especially if one had young kids. Good family fun. The owner was a very nice guy to chat with.

This is a regional type of water park if you go there with Disney land expectations you will
Be disappointed but for what it is it is good there are ample slides and a small
Pool. We were there in July and there was a bit of u certainty about opening times but I think it’s just closed on Mondays and opens at 11 the rest of the time. It wasn’t busy and the kids really enjoyed it if I’m the area again I’d go back

Bad Rock Canyon is located in Hungry Horse along highway 2 between Kalispell and Glacier National Park. It is a river canyon, where the Flathead River flows through the valley and on to the Flathead Valley plain. It is called Bad Rock because of the frequent rock slides and the difficulty of putting a road through this area. At one time the road was so steep that a some points wagons had to be lower down a vertical drop on to another section of the road below. The BNSF railroad tracks are on the other side of the river. Originally this canyon served as a route for Plains native Americans to pass through the Rockies in search for buffalo. The Blackfeet used it as a trade route and there were battles here between tribes, and between Native Americans and settlers. The river is beautiful, with water features and a spring that is still used as a water supply. It is a dangerous stretch of road, prone to more accidents than average, so park at the very wide turnoff where the historical marker tells you all about the canyon and its history. Nice resting stop (no facilities).

This fountain is beautiful!! It is a simple pull off on your way to Glacier National Park from Columbia Falls. A must stop if you are traveling, but remember a couple empty bottles!! Fill them with the natural water, it is delicious and refreshing.

Although there is only one exhibit here, it is an example of a very unique steam locomotive. I work with some train buffs so I had to stop by and get some pictures for them.

Outstanding job to Tom / Darcy at Glacier Jeep Rentals! We loved our jeep! Tom worked hard to not only find us a full soft-top, but also went the extra mile to ensure the jeep was immaculate when we picked it up. Tom and Darcy are kind and caring owners who obviously love their business. Great Job Glacier Jeep Rentals…you made our experience on the Going-to-the Sun-Road extra special! We had an incredible day of snowmobiling with Swan Mountain. My 15 and 16 year old sons each drove their own single sled and I had my 10 year old daughter on the back of my double. We were a very large group and needed three guides but it was still a great experience. Everyone went a slow to moderate speed at first but we appreciated when the guides let those who wanted to go faster go to the front. We had lots of long fast stretches but also great winding trails with breathtaking views. Highly recommend this experience!
