Unusual exhibits included Victorian era house, shops of the early 1880s, railroad cars, a carved 1941 carousel, a wagon Masters blacksmith shop, a working nickleodeon and many others too numerous to mention.
This museum has some of the most interesting history I've ever heard of, and contains a full-size locomotive, as well as a working, restored carousel (which we just HAD to ride on)!

It was wonderful to experience this piece of history --- everyone knew the story of Jesse James and to be able to actually see his home and where he met his end was so surreal.
It is a quick stop, probably only takes 20mins to go thru the small house, but it was a fun little stop with some history and artifacts.

The museum itself is is a beautiful former privately owned mansion from the turn of the 19th century which holds plenty of charm and intrigue and which presents the artwork in its best light!
Though a small museum, there are some pleasant surprises found in the Albrecht-Kemper's collection including a Cassatt, Glackens, Chase and a cool speak easy and library.
