- The Stern ReviewWashington DC, DC74 contributionsWe spent the week visiting Deep Creek Lake and found this little gem on the way out of town. The Paris sandwich was delicious. The bread, the ham, the cheese, the butter. Every bit of it was DELICIOUS. The Firefly Farms Bloomy Breeze cheese is magnificent and they seriously serve up the best brownie ever. We're from the DC area and wish we had a market half as good around these parts. Nicely, done, Firefly Farms. We'll be back sooner rather than later!Written March 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sightsee5357431 contributionJudy and staff truly run a first-class bookstore. She's knows her books and authors and looks for good fits with her customers, who will, in short order, become her friends. In a county containing so many beautiful corners, this is one of my favorites.Written December 22, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maney GPort Saint Lucie, FL44 contributionsThis quaint and eclectic shop offers something for everyone. Amazing jewelry selection, fun and delicious dips and mixes, outdoor fixtures, and seasonal favorites - plus so much more. Don’t forget to feed the llamas and give the shop dog a rub behind his ears. - SavantIII_11Centerville, OH102,973 contributionsUrsus Americanus Trading Post is a must visit in downtown Oakland; please exit 219, and visit downtown Oakland.
We note with interest that the current issue of Wonderful West Virginia’s cover features a Black Bear. Interesting that our drive on 219 north of Thomas, we experience another WV Black Bear on 219.
Ursus Americanus Trading Post is a very unique and quite inviting shop. We talk with the owner who volunteers that her husband and son have designed and construction the Barn wood art, which is for sale.
Ursus Americanus Trading Post is quite an experience, and we recommend.Written September 30, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - William JOcean City, MD105 contributionsThis was the third time we have visited Bear Creek Trader's on a Western MD Getaway for my wife and me. It was a rainy day so what better way that to do some shopping and this is our favorite place to go. It has an enormous variety of clothes and other items for all ages. We did make a few purchases. However I would warn everyone that this is a tourist area and you are going to pay premium prices for everything. In spite of this we love this place and will keep visiting everytime we are in the area.Written October 10, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - dee8306Oakland, MD357 contributionsNot a typical hospital store. Does include the usual candy, plush, cards and flowers but also has fashion , jewelry, and home decor. Always worth checking when near by. Pretty good prices for the area. Handbags are my favorite.Written September 22, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mary DEtna, OH170 contributionsWe stopped to experience a basket weaving demonstration. The presenter was well accomplished as she has been weaving for at least 10 years. The center is newly renovated and newly opened and building their collection. They have local honey and jams available for purchase. We were glad we stopped.Written July 6, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
