Wonderful winery. I am sorry to hear that they sold. Wish I could have visited one last time. We would go by when we were in the Hermann area. I will miss it.

Really enjoyed the trip out to Lost Creek and all of the wines we got to try. It was a little rainy when we visited, which made an indoor activity just perfect. Everyone was friendly and gave great feedback and suggestions based on what we enjoyed/disliked, so we got to try a lot and learn what we enjoyed. And WHY we might be enjoying it.

The chocolate and wine tasting was a good pre-lunch event. The pairings were perfect and having a port on the arrangement is always a plus! We did the regular wine tasting, too. If you buy a bottle, the owners will offset the cost of the tasting. Granted, some of the wines are on the higher side, but with that enticement, it's hard not to purchase a very good bottle!

This was a wonderful presentation of folk crafts and pioneer living. Unfortunately, the festival has closed and there is no talk about reviving the event. The farm is now closed.

Theirbach's Orchard and Farms is awsome! I love everything about them. I go at least once a year. Their peaches are amazing. They're so sweet, juicy and full of flavor. I hate buying grocery store produce. Thierbach's has a large variety of different types of apples and are just delicious! And by all means, pick up a couple jars of there salsas and jams and things. I go and stock up on their jars of canned items every time I go. If you've never tried peach salsa you're in for a treat. Their's is the best.

We checked out the Peers Store on a Saturday afternoon. They have so many beautiful, historic items to buy as gifts, little snacks during a long bike ride or trail run, and a super friendly and informative staff. When we visited, they had live music on the front porch. All the proceeds from this store benefit the Katy Land Trust; we bought one of the beautifully illustrated books that tells the story of Missouri as a gift for our parents. We then took a short bike ride down the trail to Treloar, where we had AMAZING burgers at the Treloar Bar & Grill. What a wonderful way to spend a sunny afternoon, highly recommend! :)
