What an amazing building! Volunteer Ms. Smiley gave us a tour which we greatly enjoyed. Can't wait to go see another performance there.

Attended the Mavis Staples / Bonnie Raitt concert. Weather was Kansas City hot, but the Starlight staff was well organized, so getting to our seats was easy. Both Staples and Raitt were amazing. We had great seats, nice mature crowd to enjoy the music with. Truly wonderful concert by a couple of musical treasures.

Kansas City Shakespeare Company did a tremendous performance of Much Ado About Nothing. I highly recommend watching it. Just grab a blanket or some deck chairs, drive south from downtown for about 3 miles to watch this show. It is free, donations accepted. Or you can pay for reserved seats too. VERY Well done. Performed on a great stage/set within a park with sloping grass seating. Jolly fun!! We weren’t allowed photography during the show, so no pictures until the curtain call. Gates open at 6:00 to claim places on the grass. The show starts at 8:00. 15 minute intermission at 9:00. There is a cute parody performed by some young folks at 6:30 & 7:15 while waiting. Food and beverages are available.

As we travel from New Jersey, my wife and I like to take in a show or concert, when available, to enjoy the entertainment and experience of local venues. We got lucky and discovered that a play - "The Old Man and the Old Moon" was being performed at the KC Repertory while we were touring the KC environs. The play was magical, but my review is on the theatre. It was an easy drive from our Hampton Inn Country Club and found that parking is free in the ample lot. The building is beautiful, with a spacious lobby and a pre-show bar offering. The theatre has great acoustics and lighting, and seating is very generous and offers good viewing. If you're in the neighborhood like we were, check out the KC Repertory Theatre and enjoy a great night out.

Neat venue to see an event. We were seated upstairs. Seats are pretty tightly packed up there. Everyone working was over the top nice and helped make for a great experience.

We have been season ticket holders for many years. Kent always produces a show with tunes we love to hear and presented in a delightful way.

We went to go see a performance at the Kotary theater at Crown Center. Bonus because it’s free parking on the weekend! The theater is inviting and is wonderful, intimate, and full of energy.

We've been members of Musical Theater Heritage (AKA, MTH) since we moved to Kansas City a few years ago. The venue focuses mostly on the American musical theater scene over the past 100 years.

Each year has a mix of Broadway and off-Broadway shows and theme nights focusing on a particular style of music. Season tickets go fast, so for the best experience, order early.

In the fall and spring, they hold fund raising events which are the main way the theater promotes their education program. Our daughter has participated in nearly a dozen over the past few years, and this year's highlight was one focusing on theater design and stage management. We've become such regulars that the MTH team even let her help out backstage during a performance.

It is a superb venue, and there's not a bad seat in the house. Well worth the price of admission to see some of the best regional actors around.

Went to the H & R Block City Stage to see a performance of Agatha Christie's " And then there were none". A fine performance, the actors were quite good, very top notch. This small theatre is a good place for up close viewing and becoming a part of the action. There are even blankets available if you feel cold.

Had the privilege to attend the Charlie Parker Tribute Concert at the Gem. Outstanding venue!!! What a wonderful theater. Small enough to be intimate. Large enough to hold a large concert. Absolutely not a bad seat in the house. Can't wait to go back! Love the Gem!

This was the first time we went to see a play here.
    The acting was good.
    The seats were not comfortable.
It's hard to find. I followed directions & got lost. Drove around & around until I stumbled upon it.

My family has been season tickets for several years and try to attend all their fundraisers too. This is a great non-profit theatre that puts on at least 6 productions each season, sometimes with a few extra shows as well. They offer opportunities for schools to see some of the performances, and always choose an interesting selection of shows each season.

The seating changes for each show and is typically GA, unless you pay extra for reserved seats, but there is never a bad seat in the house, with shows typically having up to 99 audience members. There is a lobby bar, some seating in the lobby, and restrooms.

The acting is consistently stellar, with the artist director always making excellent casting selections. We always enjoy an evening seeing a show at the MET.

Friends and i recently attended the Sensatia Cirque Cabaret at Quixotic Theater at Crown Center (space was formerly American Heartland Theater). It is a "Las Vegas" type show with a multimedia performance blending spectacular acrobatics, state-of-the-art visuals, live music, and perfumery. This is an adult show - see the website for the ladies' costumes, which are beautiful but scanty in some cases. The show runs Friday and Saturday nights from Oct 2019 through Dec 28 2019. The Friday night performance we attended was sold out. Tickets are $35 to $80 and even the $35 seats are a very good experience. Our only disappointment is that they advertised coming early to experience the drinks and desserts in their lounge - but there were no exotic desserts, just some basic snacks like cookies and pretzels. Those in the more expensive cabaret seats in front do get cocktail service and free chocolates, however we chose to sit in the cheaper seats, which were great visually without the perks. It is a stunning show.
