- Jerrod77710 contributionsNot easily impressed, but the Haygoods were highly entertaining, musically excellent, and good clean fun. After the show they stayed after and met anyone who wanted to. They are highly relatable and I highly recommend seeing this. It’s true. We had no idea what to expect, but John gave us such a historical journey through time of the founders of this area and the author of the book Shepherd of the Hills....he was wonderful!! We all bought the book but I think he gave us the best "cliff notes" version possible. All 4 of us would recommend, if you are in the Branson, MO area, to take this tour....you will really enjoy it! - Jessica J1 contributionI've been on many boat rides but this one had many tricks. Beware the first 5 rows get soaked, not just a little wet. It was funny to watch from the back. Wish there had been more of the dogs… most of the show is audience participation contests…which I guess for younger kids is amusing…. Thought some of the humor which involved “ farts” and tossing pretend poop was really not in best taste. - Sheryl PAubrey, TX392 contributionsI'm perplexed. Previous reviewers were pretty effusive in their praise of this experience. I'll say it was lovely, but not fabulous. It took us about 20 min. to do the whole ride, so we went around again, this time slower with a couple of brief stops.
I'll say that it was nice to be out in nature without the sounds of traffic, etc. But this ride is actually just a ride around the Hummingbird Inn property. Pretty and quiet, but probably not worth the price we paid and not worth the hour-long round trip drive up from Branson.
If you're staying at the Hummingbird Inn, then definitely go take a spin around the property as long as it's discounted or complimentary. If you're driving up from Branson, count the cost before you book.
