Good trip. We arrived at approximately 2:45 pm and made our way towards the entrance of the nature center. The nature center was on the smaller side, and geared mostly towards children. There were several informational plaques scattered throughout the nature center, that contained interesting facts about various types of animals. There was also a bird watching station, an aquarium, a bee station, and several touch stations. Outside the nature center were several paved walking paths.

Tip: I recommend spending an hour here (more if you want to walk on some of the trails)

Great trip! We arrived at approximately 12:45 pm and made our way towards the entrance of the building to check in for our tour. We were greeted promptly, checked in, and told to start exploring the mini museum on the ground floor. The museum provided some background information on the owner of the house, along with several kitchen items located on the ground floor. We were even able to see the antique elevator. The tour started promptly at 1 pm and the tour guide took us through each individual room, stopping and telling us stories of what went on in each room. He also explained the significance of each piece of furniture in the room. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered everyone’s questions appropriately. We were able to see the second and third floors; the fourth floor was under construction at the time. After the guided portion of the tour was over, we were encouraged to walk outside and explore the grounds by ourselves. The house itself was beautiful and majestic, and contained many original pieces of furniture. We were thoroughly impressed by the sheer stature of the mansion.

Tip: The entire tour lasted roughly an hour and fifteen minutes. Unfortunately, no pictures were allowed on the grounds, as per Mayo policy.

An excellent job of preserving local and national medical history. Mayo and associated buildings display the development of the Clinic over the tears and why there is a concentration on curing the patient by listening to the patient.
It is interesting to see the major advances in medicine in the last 100 years.

We were walking around the SW historical area and saw signs for the Plummer House. He were curious so we followed the signs to the house.
We were pleasantly surprised. It is a beautiful stone and slate roofed mansion built in the early 1900’s. The green space is spacious and beautiful even in March! Bonus is a beautiful tower on the grounds.
It wasn’t open to view the inside when we visited but the outside self guided tour was great.
A must see if your i. The area.

The Gonda building is a beautiful example of art deco architecture in downtown Rochester. You used to be able to take a free art tour of the Mayo buildings to see their extensive modern art collection. These have most likely been discontinued because of Covid. It is still worth walking up to the windows by the main entrance to see the Chully chandeliers.

My daughter and I visited the Assisi couples in order for me to attend daily mass, which was a wonderful experience. The convent and its chapel are on beautiful grounds high above the city with gorgeous views all about. The building is very beautifully constructed and well taken care of. The chapel has very interesting stained glass windows with almost art deco designs and stations of the cross made with the mosaic technique. After mass, one of the sisters of St. Francis took us on a tour through the complex in and out of beautifully decorated parlors and down a long corridor that displays the history of the convent over many years. There is a cafeteria but that is only for the use of the sisters themselves. It was one of the highlights of my trip to Rochester and I left with a feeling of internal peace.

I like to go here because it has a cheaper price than some other theaters, it's clean and I just like it here. They have different parking areas. They do not shovel the snow off the walks well and have covered the walking path/steps from the small/side parking area with snow so you have to walk between the parked cars to a walking area... that bugs me A LOT. The seats are comfortable and it's an enjoyable movie time each time I go.

Be sure to visit the Iconic Transparent Man on the Subway level at the Barbara Woodward Lips Patient Education Center. This is a great place to learn more about the human body and the different conditions that may inflict us.

Drove to the address, dead end road, residential area. Called to figure out how to visit a if the address was correct. They called us back, only to be told we needed to reserve a tour on line. So we were not allowed a tour. Too bad, so sad.

We had a great time at the orchard, picking apples, spying giant pumpkins, and traversing the corn maze. We also enjoyed the little farmer’s market. The staff was nice as well. We’d definitely return.
